We are in TAY. This Thread is three years old.
I hope you enjoy this as it covers music, fashion and most of all
Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.
Please remember this is TAY! I am still learning the new system so bear with me.

I am going to focus on your grandson you have my prayers for your daughters. I have
been through this too. I hope you enjoy The Movie with your grandson. This is a family
tradition in my family. Oh the fact he has not seen it makes it even more special. I know
you have him tomorrow. My heart is going out to you. I hope this brings a smile to your
face. -
@Sheba,
Good afternoon! How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family and that you are finally over that nasty sinus infection.
No, I have not started the AL collagen yet. I still do not see or feel any results from the other AL vitamins (hair, skin and nails, CoQ10) but it may take a couple of months.
I did read your comment about my daughter and thank you for asking. She has been going through so much and it is wearing. As you know, she was diagnosed with Chron’s in ER but then it was believed after more thorough testing that she did not have Chron’s but needed more testing by her specialist. She does have an ulcer and now it is believed she has a very rare form of Chron’s. Tests have also revealed her liver and pancreas are off. The “C” word was mentioned. I am not going there. Doctors have to be thorough. We will know when we know and I am believing she is going to be fine. I keep telling myself that she is too young and she is! I will let you know when I do but until then, I am not talking about it. Doctors don’t know everything and until they know, they speculate. We have heard things before and they have turned out to be way off, like the time we took her to urgent care and the Dr. there told her she would be dead within 24 hours because of some rare bacteria eating her foot and leg! We took her to the ER where the doctors there actually listened to her when she told them she thought she had a bug bite and it was! Apparently, she has a severe allergy to flea bites and she was really sick, almost unconscious by then. They gave her shots and IV’s of drugs and she was better within a few hours. She had a swollen foot and ankle for about two weeks. The flea bit her between the toes and the Urgent care didn’t even check or bother to listen to her. Can you imagine how scary? We told our dr who was affiliated with the urgent care and he was furious! The urgent care dr was fired the next day. Anyway, long story to say this is why I am NOT going there and will believe for positive news. We have been through cancer scares with her before as a teenager. They got it very, very early.
I loved the Peanuts gang and my grandson reaching for the moon! I loved the polar bears. My sweet Walker looked like a cross between a polar bear and a panda bear! He had a black patch around his crystal blue eye, a black tail, and a black spot on his side. He had long fur and loved getting lion cuts in the summer. He would come home after getting groomed and just strut his stuff! He was adorable and the most unique looking cat ever! I love my big Fur-baby boy! Big guy too – 23 1/2 lbs.! He came from big stock, big bones, long and tall. Such a sweet boy.
I loved the Glen Campbell song too. It made me think of Bridges of Madison County. That was such a great movie and I think every woman can relate to that at some point in her life.
I had fun reading which celebrities or actors you all resemble. My daughter looks like a younger version of Allysa Milano. All her life she has been asked if she is Allysa Milano even though she is much younger but I guess people get confused when they have reruns to watch. She has my husband’s Italian complexion but is a mixture of both of us. She has my curly hair. My son and daughter resemble each other (you can tell they are bother and sister) but son has my lighter skin and had blonde curls as a small child, remained blonde until about 8th grade. His hair is as dark as hers now. Do your kids look like either one of you or are they a mix like mine?
Hey, finally got my tree trimmed! Hoping to start some other things this week. It will be Christmas before we know it! Grandson coming tomorrow and we are planning on watching Home Alone together. He has not seen it and I know he will love it! 😀
Have a good evening! 😀 -
Brrrr! It is cold down here. This morning we bottomed out at 46 degrees. Now, it is in the 60s. Jerry went to Dunkin Donuts to get some respite from work. He put on his bamboo jacket. Okay, permission to sneer at me. Keep in mind that I did my time waiting for the Crosstown bus to get me to the office when I worked in Manhattan. Living in Fort Lee, New Jersey; I did my share of sliding on ice both in the car and out.
In around an hour Ari will be getting a visitor. Yes, you are correct. The Widow Chloe is coming for their first inside visit. We shall see how this goes. A little at a time. Baby steps. Doggie steps. Jerry is convinced that Ari might be the smartest dog we ever had. When walking in the street; he is alert to everything. I told Jerrythe poor doggie lived in the street for a bit. One can become very aware.
Are you feeling better at all? Thinking about you. You are my coffee pal from Oz.

Love this. For a while I thought to be a double for Eydie. From afar it could work but she was much older than me. Nonetheless, from the time I was twenty to past middle age I was told the similarities were many. She stopped singing her old hits after her 23 year old son in the 1980s. They have another son who is in the music business.
Her voice was perfect. If Barbara Streisand had not been discovered; I am sure that Eydie would have been THE outstanding female vocalist of her generation. She was also a cousin of Neil Sedaka who is also Sephardim. I think I will ask Alexa to play her recordings. Thank you for the Bossa Nova!

Blame It on the Bossa Nova
Eydie GorméI was at a dance when he caught my eye
Standin’ all alone lookin’ sad and shy
We began to dance, swaying’ to and fro
And soon I knew I’d never let him go
Blame it on the bossa nova with its magic spell
Blame it on the bossa nova that he did so well
Oh, it all began with just one little dance
But then it ended up a big romance
Blame it on the bossa nova
The dance of love
No, no, the bossa nova
(Or the stars above?)
No, no, the bossa nova
(Now was it the tune?)
Yeah, yeah, the bossa nova
(The dance of love)
Now I’m glad to say I’m his bride to be
And we’re gonna raise a family
And when our kids ask how it came about
I’m gonna say to them without a doubt
Blame it on the bossa nova with its magic spell
Blame it on the bossa nova that he did so well
Oh, it all began with just one little dance
But then it ended up a big romance
Blame it on the bossa nova
The dance of love
No, no, the bossa nova
(Or the stars above?)
No, no, the bossa nova
(Now was it the tune? )
Yeah, yeah, the bossa nova
(The dance of love)
No, no, the bossa nova
(Or the stars above ?)
No, no, the bossa nova -
Save the Best for Last
Vanessa WilliamsSometimes the snow comes down in June
Sometimes the sun goes ’round the moon
I see the passion in your eyes
Sometimes it’s all a big surprise
‘Cause there was a time when all I did was wish
You’d tell me this was love
It’s not the way I hoped or how I planned
But somehow it’s enough
And now we’re standing face to face
Isn’t this world a crazy place
Just when I thought our chance had passed
You go and save the best for last
All of the nights you came to me
When some silly girl had set you free
You wondered how you’d make it through
I wondered what was wrong with you
‘Cause how could you give your love to someone else
And share your dreams with me
Sometimes the very thing you’re looking for
Is the one thing you can’t see
And now we’re standing face to face
Isn’t this world a crazy place
Just when I thought our chance had passed
You go and save the best for last
Sometimes the very thing you’re looking for
Is the one thing you can’t see
Sometimes the snow comes down in June
Sometimes the sun goes ’round the moon
Just when I thought our chance had passed
You go and save the best for last
You went and saved the best for last -
Hugging a Tree
If you are feeling anxious, sad, or drained, try hugging a tree and allow her vast amount of grounding energy to assist you.
Trees are among the world’s greatest givers. Their slow and gentle life cycles provide the world with clean air, their roots filter water, and their majestically spreading branches provide shade. Full of vibrant, natural energy, trees can also give us the gifts of peace and nurturance. Hugging or sitting with your spine against the trunk of any tree can ground your body and inspire a profound closeness with nature as the energy of the tree connects to you. Making physical contact with a tree can help you relax, alleviate stress, sleep more deeply, and hold on to more positive energy. Trees can absorb great amounts of energy and have the ability to soak up harmful energy from deep within you. If you are feeling anxious, sad, drained, or tense, then try hugging a tree.
Go to the woods, a garden, or a park, and find a tree that you would like to hug. Stand next to the tree and close your eyes. Relax your senses while breathing in the scent of leaves and bark. Listen to the creaking of the branches. When you feel settled, open your eyes, keeping them unfocused, and walk around its trunk. Feel the unique energy of the tree as your auras meet each other. Ask the tree for permission to touch it. If you feel the tree saying yes to you, begin breathing in its energy. Put your arms around the trunk and press your face to its bark. Embrace the tree for as long as you wish, feeling the roughness of its wood and the strength of its years. Relax into that strength and let the tree support you. You may even be able to physically feel a cyclical flow of energy taking place between your body and the tree.
You can sit with your back pressed to the tree for the same effect if you feel more comfortable doing so. Likewise, if you are seeking greater comfort, you may want to wrap your legs and arms around the tree, either at the base or by straddling a branch. Remember to thank the tree because by hugging your tree you are drinking from the well of natural copious energy cultivated by the tree’s many years on this earth.

Good Morning! I know you are going to spoil her. ♥ So much to pick from how fun.
I would love to see her face when she opens her presents. ♥ I love it. Loaf how are
you feeling? I miss the kitchen I would wait for you in and I am going to see if I can
find it. This also reminds me of Mcpoopoo.Spent many years here with you Loaf. 🙂

Cherie,
I was on the phone a lot dealing with different family members her call was the easy one.
My kid knows don’t sweat the small stuff. LOL!I have had no more Kisses hubby hid them. I have some the Andrew Lessman Choconuvo
right in my hands. The wrapper keeps them fresh. ♥ Cherie this month is flying so fast
and before you know it…Times UP!No I cannot imagine anyone being jelly because you do not have to work and enjoy what
you do. My mother always told me there will be people smarter then me, prettier, taller,
and so on so I learned from an early age to just be me. 🙂 Oh another thing mother told me
I need to marry a millionaire because she saw me coming. I did alright but mom was right.
Have a great day in Cali. ♥ -
I did see your post about Edie. ♥ Oh yeah the Bosa Nova. My parents played that song
a lot when I was little and I have always loved it. ♥ I think she is so pretty sadly she passed
a few years ago. What a voice. ♥ Good Morning to you and Jerry and little Ari. 🙂
This is for you in Florida.
