Welcome to conversation – 15. This is number 15 of this thread.
We are in TAY. This Thread is three years old.
I hope you enjoy this as it covers music, fashion and most of all
Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.
Please remember this is TAY! I am still learning the new system so bear with me.
Blessings to you all. ♥ Happy Holidays ♥

Cherie,
The Twilight Zone has been a tradition with my kids for over 20 years. SiFy Channel
shows them every July 4th and New Year’s Eve and Day. I can name every episodes.
I was not even born when these episodes were made. I tell you this Rod Sterling was
way ahead of his time. 🙂 I read his bio and he passed from cancer The Twilight Zone still
speaks volumes today. What Rod was saying way back when is still relevant today.I know Amazon at one time had the entire program on DVD every single episode.
If it has no commercials it is well worth it. ♥ I am drinking some hot tea still have the sniffles
have fun with the family. I have been to Mass it was so cold now I am wrapped in spanklet
something I brought from QVC last year. I am going out again today. No worries I will have
my mask on. 😉
I have to say this is my favorite TZ. 🙂 It’s called Going My Way. -
Good Morning Sheba and Ladies!
Sheba,
Your chicken stew looked delicious! I am making chicken soup today, or at least start it. I usually boil the chicken to get the broth done the day before I make it. I take the cooked meat out and let the broth sit in fridge overnight so I can skim off the fat in the morning. Then I heat up the broth and strain it, then put it all together and cook. I add the chicken back once everything is cooked.
Did you get out for your walk in your fur hat and coat? No walk this morning as there is ice again so I’ll go later after the Bears game! BIG game today! Not only is it a rivalry game between Vikings and Bears, but The Rams and Eagles play also. If the Eagles win, and the Bears win, it puts the BEARS in #2 place! I don’t want to get ahead of myself but this is a real nail biter! Fortunately, I have a couple See’s butterscotch lollipops to help me through (my fave)! 😀 Also on today are my other fave teams, the Colts play tonight and the Broncos play same time as Bears. Are you seeing an animal theme now? Lol! The Bears are my first love in football. 😀 GO BEARS! Go Colts! Go Broncos! Oh, but PLEASE, GO BEARS! YAY! 😀
You will hear me screaming all the way to your house if my Bears win! 😀@Cherie,
Good points on seeing the movie! Grandson is very well behaved but we will probably sit up front so we don’t disturb anyone. Oh my, I LOVE that episode of twilight zone you posted with William Shatner on the plane! Anothe fave of mine is when the people find out they are pawns in a child’s game and you then hear the kid laughing. Oh, and another fave is the “talking Tina” doll with Telly Sovales! “Hi, I’m talking Tina and I’m going to kill you!”! So great! My kitty Tina’s nickname is Miss Talking Tina, but only because it’s funny because she is sooo cute! 😀@taci,
So good to see you posting! If I ever figure out how to post I will definitely post pics of my new JK Hubei pieces! I spent way more than I should have for Christmas so I probably shouldn’t have bought anything but I couldn’t help it! It was so unique, and hello, vintage! 😀
I guess you don’t get much ice down there because you are very southern. Where does your son go when he goes snow boarding? We are right near the base of the Sierra Nevadas so we see the snow in the mountains but rarely snows here in the city. We had snow only once since I’ve lived here and it was really special. We had a white Christmas and it snowed twice! The kids had fun making snow angels and having snowball fights. 😀@loaf,
Oh, you brought me back in time with Englebert Humperdinck! My mom used to love him so I grew up having his records played in the house. I had to go down memory lane last night and pull up some songs on Utube. Good memories. 😀
Again, I am so sorry about what happened to your daughter at the baseball game! When did this happen? As a child? As an adult? It must have been so hard on everyone in your family to see her suffer, especially for you and hubby! Does she have residual pain? I hope she is ok now. I am sure baby Bella is willing and able to help her feel better.@bichon18,
I hope each day you get better! Just keep resting and keep up with the fluids. Lol at the lipstick! You go girl! Cuddle your sweet Ari! 😀@velvet, @mightymouse, Hope all is well and you are ringing in the new year in style and healthy! 😀
Have a great day all! 😀

Sheba, I’m so sorry your still under the weather. Cherie knew that this “bug” is a doozy. Cherie has so much to do …. Glad you will be able to see Mary Poppins on the Big Screen. Please make sure you and your hubby choose a day and time slot there won’t be many kids …. cause it’s a long time to sit next to fidgeting, talking out loud, coughing kids. Thanks for the Twilight Zone Reminder. Cherie will be looking for one of my favorite episodes …. The Gremlin one …. Take care Sheba♥ Dear …
@loaf …. Remember, @kittengirl nailed where Cherie gets her insight. Very glad I could help out with a visual of Beautiful Bella. I bet Bella just Loves those kids!!
@bichon18 …. Sorry about having to Cancel your Family gatherings … that’s a bummer. Cherie Loves your thoughts on putting some lipstick! Cherie’s Hubby still likes to sport my Red Lipstick kiss on his face … teehee.
@kittengirl … It’s all good. Hubby held onto our napper (hubby probably snuck in a nap too). Cherie likes to sit on isle seats for easy exits. Every half hour I will take the kids to the lobby for a cheese or peanut butter snack (NO sugar). Have a Great time at the movies, I’m sure your grandson will enjoy it.
@taci …. “2 hours too long for you” …. That’s too funny. Maybe you can use a few of Cherie’s tricks to bide some time LOL. YES, Cherie’s getting the Volvo (the exact one in the picture post) March 2019!!

I have not heard this song in forever thanks for reminding me of it. ♥ Yes Loaf
Dan Fogelberg is gone too soon.Same Old Lang Syne
Dan FogelbergMet my old lover in the grocery store
The snow was falling Christmas Eve
I stood behind her in the frozen foods
And I touched her on the sleeve
She didn’t recognize the face at first
But then her eyes flew open wide
She went to hug me and she spilled her purse
And we laughed until we cried
We took her groceries to the check out stand
The food was totaled up and bagged
We stood there lost in our embarrassment
As the conversation lagged
We went to have ourselves a drink or two
But couldn’t find an open bar
We bought a six-pack at the liquor store
And we drank it in her car
We drank a toast to innocence
We drank a toast to now
We tried to reach beyond the emptiness
But neither one knew how
She said she’s married her an architect
Who kept her warm and safe and dry
She would have liked to say she loved the man
But she didn’t like to lie
I said the years had been a friend to her
And that her eyes were still as blue
But in those eyes I wasn’t sure if I saw
Doubt or gratitude
She said she saw me in the record stores
And that I must be doing well
I said the audience was heavenly
But the traveling was
We drank a toast to innocence
We drank a toast to now
We tried to reach beyond the emptiness
But neither one knew how
We drank a toast to innocence
We drank a toast to time
Reliving, in our eloquence
Another “Auld Lang Syne”
The beer was empty and our tongues were tired
And running out of things to say
She gave a kiss to me as I got out
And I watched her drive away
Just for a moment I was back at school
And felt that old familiar pain
And, as I turned to make my way back home
The snow turned into rain -
