Get the hat. Maybe it is on sale by now. The blouse for $186.00. One splotch of something and it could be goodbye.

Losing weight. I used to have a decent figure and then…..hysterectomy. Our new vet lost 70 pounds cutting back on the carbs. My doctor says no eating after 6:30 unless we are out or special occasion. Torture but it works. I put clothes that I need to grow into in the guest room closet. If I want to try on clothes I go in there. Otherwise, don’t you find you repeat like crazy? Or, I buy the same outfit in two or more shades.

Did you see the Artist Pallette earrings from Heidi? She is on a roll. I just need her to produce a Bichon pin.

Walking is the best exercise for the heart. I had a personal trainer twice a week for two years. Truthfully, walking seems to do more than anything. Swimming as well. Of course, my discipline comes and goes.

Just do what suits you. The results will follow.

I hear you about the department stores. When I was out Christmas shopping, I stopped in at Anthropologie. Found a super cute blue hat and a pretty velvet wrap style blouse. Blouse was $186. No way when I am trying to lose weight and I didn’t see my size anyway. I have a closet full of beautiful clothes but they don’t fit. I am looking forward to shopping my closet when the weight comes off. Anything I buy now I consider temporary and therefor do not want to spend much. I have never tried Slinky. How do you find it? Is it flattering? Does it flow or cling? I don’t want clingy. That was fine when I was thinner and younger but until I lose more, I am sticking with whatever flatters. I think I will go back for the hat at Anthropologie. Accessories always fit! LOL!

I’m waiting foe Heidi’s visit to get anything. I’m hoping for a coupon or a special savings on shipping for incentive.
Keep up the good work on the weight loss; I will do the same. I seem to have hit a plateau so I need to step up the physical activity by walking faster or longer without overdoing (that’s the hard part). When I hit my goal I’d like to start working with a trainer. There’s a fitness center here for people with heart issues but it’s $$$, of couse… ugh.

Yes, I will get the necklace. I am just waiting for a 20% off coupon. I got the button earrings. If the are comfortable….more will occur.

As for the new Marla choices; more fun and less reason to go there the department stores. I am currently looking at one shirt at dillards and nothing anywhere else. I don’t even go for the Clinique promotions. I order my foundation and collect my travel sizes. When my SIL is with me; we stop into Chico’s where the sales rack looks like my closet. No way. I bought a travelers v-neck sleeveless dress in two sizes in black for any traveling. That is it.

When we go to the mall now it is for the movie theater the put in.

I have Marla and as I continue to lose will try iman. Slinky is for fill in the blanks for me.

The button earrings. I find that if I have earrings in different colors; making matches on necklaces and bracelets is easier. My rings rarely, if ever, get changed. The earrings in the Enchante line are beautiful and meant for many different preferences. I will be curious to see if other colors pop up.

As for this thing we both have in its diabolic forms. It is now plaguing my nose area with intermittent coughing. Slight, never comes out headaches sometimes appear. Let us not forget feeling warm after any activity from walking Ari to emptying the dishwasher.

The worst part is it in very depressing. I can’t go on the elliptical for more than five minutes. Long walks are like running marathons. The nurse at my physician’s office says this is turning into the worst flu season she has ever witnessed. Not just flu….not coming back from colds.

JFK Jr. My late neighbor who we loved as we do his widow….was a resident who got to his shift while Jackie was in delivery. Something was wrong; the baby was blue following a caesarean. It did not look good. My neighbor had just learned a new technique for this. He saved the baby and saved the day. Someone who worked at the hospital heard of this and contacted a friend who was involved in the inauguration. My neighbor was contacted and invited to come to the inaugural and all it entailed. They sat next to Adlai Stevenson and behind Eleanor Roosevelt or vice versa. He always kidded us about that.

This can be looked up so I will leave names out of it. The correspondence from the President is beyond beautiful. My neighbor always suspected that when they lost their next baby; that the same occurred.

I am not sure if John John had rage brilliance of his father although he was very intelligent. He had the beauty, charisma and charm. My belief is that if Jackie had been alive; he would not have been flying that plane.
