Welcome to conversation – 15. This is number 15 of this thread.
We are in TAY. This Thread is three years old.
I hope you enjoy this as it covers music, fashion and most of all
Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.
Please remember this is TAY! I am still learning the new system so bear with me.
Blessings to you all. ♥ Happy Holidays ♥

Thanks for the encouragement! I take it one day at a time but some days I get feeling pretty low. Menopause is what started my weight gain. It is so hard to get it off! I used to have a decent figure too, hourglass. Now my weight goes to my tummy. So depressing. I’m walking for my health and the weight will come off. It takes time, I know, but I am impatient and sick of wearing clothes I feel I hide in. I want to dress to reflect who I am only that’s hard when my body has betrayed me! Lol! We will see what happens… I am going to keep at it! I hope I get my waistline back. I miss it! 🙁 It’s hard to find the energy but I will keep looking for it!
I am definitely getting the hat! I keep the clothes I want to fit into again in the guest room closet too. -

The show was on ABC it was about his accident and his last days. It showed everything that
happened in the days before he perished. I mean that was a sad day I really cried. I felt bad
for Teddy. If you have On Demand you can still catch it. The program aired last night on
regular TV.Do you know what we pay for a half gallon of Orange Juice? We pay around 3.00.
So if you can just grab them from your tree you are very lucky. 🙂 I like Valencia Oranges
too and had no idea how long it took to make them sweet. I have been drinking Orange Juice
since I have had this thing. I am feeling somewhat better but it is still in me. I hear it is a
bad season for colds and flu. One of my daughters have it real bad and has not been to work
this week due to a virus. Good grief winter is here. Enjoy your walks in Sunny Cali. The sun
is out today and I love that.
I have a lot of people to call and I am going for a nice long walk. I have been outdoors today
talking to neighbors this is recycle day in my area and I got rid of a lot of boxes and things I
need to get rid of. 🙂 I finished the last of my homemade chicken soup I made.
I may drop in on a friend later today. 🙂 Kitten I am feeling for little Jonny I hope she is
ready for this on Monday. Keep her close. ♥ -
@Cherie,
So cool about your Joyce Meyer library! I’m not a member but we are members of TBN which is where I watch her programs. We are not monthly members but annually we send a gift, I guess that’s why we don’t get the monthly gifts for sponsoring them. We do get a nice gift of whatever they are offering when we send our check. Love TBN. 😀
Oh that kitty is sure enjoying nibbling on those pancakes! I just love kitties! So cute! Speaking of cute, look at those darling baby animals Sheba sent you! Too cute for sure! Oh, and I’m glad you saw Jonnie’s baby, Jaden! Wait til you hear the story! 😀
Have a good one! 😀 -
bichon18,
Watching the show last night brought back a lot of memories. I can’t believe it has
been almost 20 years since he left us. I wonder what he would have done. John John
was amazing in his own right. ♥ Jackie did a great job with those kids. I miss her too. ♥
So much emotions on one show. Amy your story is interesting too. 🙂 -
Redefining Health
No matter what our weight, we can use the cues from our physical and mental selves to judge how healthy we are.
Health is not a numerical concept and cannot be defined using statistics. Human beings, however, tend to want to quantify well-being into easily understandable figures. We feel compelled to ascribe numbers to every aspect of wellness, from the qualities of our food to our fitness levels to the physical space we occupy. As a consequence of social pressures, we turn our attention away from health and focus instead on the most contentious of these figures–weight–checking our scales to see how we measure up to our peers and role models. Yet each of us is equipped to gauge our relative healthfulness without any equipment whatsoever. When we have achieved a state of wellness, we feel buoyant and energetic. Some of us are naturally slim, while others will always be curvy. No matter what our weight, we can use the cues we receive from our physical and mental selves to judge how healthy we really are.
When you throw away your scale, you commit to a lifestyle that honors the innate wisdom that comes from within your body and within your mind. It is logical to examine how you feel while considering your health–a strong, fit, and well-nourished individual will seldom feel heavy, bloated, or fatigued. If you have concerns regarding your weight, remind yourself that at its proper weight, your body will feel buoyant and agile. Movement becomes a source of joy. Sitting, standing, walking, and bending are all easy to do because your joints and organs are functioning as they were meant to. When you are physically healthy, your mind will also typically occupy a place of well-being. Mental clarity and an ability to focus are two natural traits of whole-self health. Surprisingly, promoting this type of easy-to-discern wellness within yourself takes no special effort outside of satisfying your hunger with nourishing, wholesome foods and moving your body.
The numbers you see on the scale, while nominally informative, can prevent you from reaching your healthful eating goals by giving you a false indicator of health. You will know when you have achieved true health because every fiber of your being will send you signals of wellness. When you choose to listen to these signals instead of relying on the scale, your definition of well-being will be uniquely adapted to the needs of your body and of your mind.

See, women of my age group grew up on Jackie. Anything she wore became not just a trend but a classic.
John John, like his sister, would have stood for something. Chris Matthews jokes that when John John was to be on his show that the women all decided to work late that night. He was gorgeous, clean shaven and classic.

@Sheba,
Top of the morning to you too! Yes, I LOVE having fresh oranges just outside my door! The naval oranges are getting sweeter by the day and the valencia oranges should be ready soon. What i love about the Valencia tree is that the oranges grow and ripen in stages so from now until June we can enjoy fresh squeezed oj. I think that is one of the best perks about living here. The trees in my yard are in protected spots so the freezing temps don’t seem to bother them. Tomorrow will come rain and the last of the 30’s at night was last night. Up to 45 tonight so back to early walking. Yay! Nothing starts my day better than a first thing in the morning walk before the sun is up! 😀
I loved John-John too. His death was so tragic! Both he and his new bride. He did not have enough flight time experience. My son wants to get his private pilot’s license. I worry about that but he promises he will not fly solo until good and ready and plenty of flight experience behind him. I did not see the program on John-John. What network was it on?
What do you have planned today? As for me, more of the same – laundry, organizing and cleaning. Thrilling for sure! Lol! Must get done though!
I am sending you a nice tall glass of cold fresh squeezed orange juice! Enjoy! Kitties all send cuddles! 😀 -
Cherie,
That cat is going to town on those pancakes. 🙂 Oh so you almost made it to bed on time. ♥
It will take a little time and you will master it. 🙂 I have watched Joyce Meyers and she is very
good. Joyce live one State over from me. I believe in the St. Louie area. Joyce speaks the
truth. I have watched her for years. If you get to see her that is a treasure. ♥Cherie this is the kids last weekend. Let them have fun and yes I did get to see Mary Poppins!
I loved the Movie and I went when there were not too many kids. 🙂 No worries I wore my mask. What is Le Chef cooking this weekend or does he just go in and do his thing? Anyhoo happy

As I always say top of the morning to you and your kitties. I would love some Orange
Juice today and you are so lucky to have them in your backyard. 🙂 -
Have a wonderful hike and are you getting more Heidi Daus? Good Morning to you
in Cali. 🙂 -
I have loved John John all my life. 🙂 I will say this they are not like this anymore.
There is a word for it oh it is called CLASS! Good Day to you and Jerry and Little Ari. 🙂
Amy I agree had Jackie been around she would have never ever allowed him to pilot a plane
by himself. I will always believe that. The details last night blew my mind. I cried all over
again. -
