Hi Cheri;
Yes, coffee…mmmmm.
Trader Joe’s is wonderful. Once every other week and we are set. We fill in the blanks in other stores. We are two humans in this house. My husband loves the miniature ice cream cones. The frozen vegetables, cheeses and treats for doggies are terrific.
Thank you for showing us the little doggie

Hey Sheba …. It’s Snowing here in BIG BEAR! It’s about 35 degrees (to us S. Cali folk it might as well be 10 degrees below) so, Cherie and family are up here with this fireplace roaring like yours!! It’s supposed to be snowing all day tomorrow too. So we’ll be having lots of hot cocoa and hot soups …. We could sure use a crock pot of Sheba stew. Dad’s are Special Guys right Sheba♥ …. Take care ALL
@loaf …. Cherie agrees with Sheba … You are definitely a CHICK!!
@taci …. Sorry your son is got what’s going around. A co-worker’s son (he’s 11) just tested positive for Influenza B!

@Sheba, hope your husband got home safely. Can’t imagine all that snow, but your fireplace sounds nice. Yah, you got the air fryer and cookbook. Well, you should know that I am making your crock pot recipe for the 2nd time. I added some beans and mushrooms to the mix. My son came home, sick like everyone else here. I found a mask to wear, yes, in the house. I am in my busy season at work, and have another activity event in process so can’t get sIck. Lysol is my best friend today. Sheba, I hope your Dad and Sister are doing as best they can and thinking of them.
@southern, hope your son is better soon!
@kittengirl, maybe we have the same over the door jewlery box. It’s from HSN. Mine is not hanging, and the back literally started to pull off. Luckily, my husband is very handy. He put it together better than before, and before I loaded jewelry back in added the tarnish resistant material that I bought online. I think the material was a bit like felt and I probably used colored double sided tape where needed. @southern‘s sounds much better and love the little pillow ideas.
Hope Jonnie is feeling better.
@Bichon, you were so lucky to have had a sister and I can see you miss her. Her name is my Mothers middle name. Your upcoming trip sounds fun. Tell Ari it’s party time.
@Cherie, hope you are have a blast in the Snow! -

@bichon18,
I love Joanna Gaines! I love color too. I love lots of white, cream and neutrals so I can have lots of color, especially in my dishes! I love to use dishes according to my whims too! Love tea pots and tea cups. I have some of my grandma’s all in different china patterns. When I was little, my mom would have a fresh pot of tea and cookies when we got home from school and my tea cup (my grandma let me pick one out of hers) was light yellow with roses on it. I still have it! Have you ever shopped at Replacements? Lots of vintage and antique china and dishes that are hard to find. You can register patterns and they notify you when they find them. I got my mom’s “dish” gene for sure. Your kitchen sounds nice and welcoming – the best kind! I keep imagining how I will enjoy ours when it is done. I can’t wait but I have too. At the same time, I want to wait… I think kitchens are probably the most difficult to go through. Bathrooms were pretty hard too. NO PRIVACY! 🙁 -
It is a lot of work and tiring but the result is phenomenal. I still smile. Don’t you wish Joanna Gaines could come to you waving a magic wand. Oh, that is one talented person. It will get done. Your ideas are terrific. I also have a lot of blue and white AND Fiestaware. I set the table according to my whims and moods. My favorite color is what you see when you stand over a box of 64 Crayola Crayons. Love color.

@Sheba,
Hope Hubby gets home safe and sound. I have to have my son show me how to do everything. Our Roku still isn’t set up. He is going to have to help us with it over the phone. I like simple things. Lol! Love your fire going! I would love to have one going tonight. Maybe we will do that after our evening walk which we are going on very soon. 😀 -
I live about 10 minutes from a fully stocked Traders Joe. Love it.

@bichon18,
Oh, we are more than ready! We have renovated every room in the house, bathrooms gutted, plastic drapes hanging everywhere, dust, dirt, grit, no water, strangers everywhere, plumbers falling through ceilings (actually that was during repairs AFTER the house flooded AFTER the renovations were complete! Yes, I got to go through it twice! Lucky me! Ugh. We are so ready to complete it but at the same time don’t want to go through it again but we are not doing it to the cats now so it will have to wait! Cabinets are oak, we painted them white when we moved in to our house. I still want white cabinets but I want maple wood. Probably paint the Island a light aqua turquoise (color of the front door) or a grey. We have already replaced all windows in house. I want SS appliances and white quartz counter-tops. I would love to have marble but not wise with cats. Back splash is undecided – either subway or tiny mosaics all in creams and white. I love white classic kitchens. Our kitchen table is farmhouse style and we will refinish it to match the butcher block top we put on the Island. I want an old crystal chandelier over the table. I have a black iron pot rack over island but will change that to SS to match appliances. I want a farmhouse sink. We have a cabinets with glass insets because I have many, many dishes – lots of blue&white staffordshire and blue willow, plus lots of fiesta ware in light yellow, turquoise, persimmon and cobalt blue. Our kitchen is connected to the family room, gallery wall on one wall. right now the room is filled with only boxes and a bookcase. Kitties love all the boxes. Kitchen has a built in desk painted white like cabinets but we will change out the desk top for the same white quartz we put on counter-tops and waterfall it down the side. Have not decided on wall color yet. Now it is a light golden yellow. We are leaning to soft yellow or light grey or a deep blue. I’m tired thinking about it… It is hard work isn’t it?
