Dad does own a Condo on a golf course in Orland but THE STEP-MOM has control of that.
Step-Mom let’s her family use it whenever. I have people I can stay with I don’t need the
Condo. My husband has family in the Jacksonville area. ♥ Believe I am so ready to out of here.

Even for a nice week. I just want a beach and some sunshine. 🙂

This is my backyard and everywhere is a winter wonderland. None of this happened on
Christmas. We have more coming and I pray my power does not go off again.

Hey girl! How are you doing today? You were wise to order up a size! I wish I had! Usually I find DG runs true or even big but not these pants for sure! I tried them on a while ago and undecided as to whether I will exchange or just keep for when I’m thinner (if I ever get there). I may just order another pair or two a size bigger for now. I’m tired of wearing the same things over and over. It is not fin trying to lose weight. I used to dress so well! I was a fashionista and never met a high heel I didn’t like (or a cashmere sweater, or a handbag, or scarf or…) Lol!
I’m not one who is generally star struck but there have been a few… Tom Selleck and Fred Astaire for two… TS lived near my MIL so it was not unusual to run into him and he is one of the nicest people on this planet (looks ain’t bad either, lol). Fred Astaire was my idol growing up and brother went to school with his grandson. BIL has lots of actors as clients. FIL was good buddies with Mickey Rooney and Michael Anserra (I may have spelled that wrong but he was in a lot of westerns, married to Barbara Eden). They golfed together all the time. There are tons of people down in L.A. to keep you star struck! Here’s something you might get a kick out of – remember “Bones”, Dr. McCoy from Star Trek? I have been to his house before on occasion and he had the cutest pet tortoise! It had an underground tunnel that went three blocks long! What a character!
I bet you do run into some of the most gorgeous men there! 😀 One of my old friends has a brother like that. Drop dead, be still my beating heart, takes my breath away gorgeous! When he was working to put himself through school he used to deliver pizza. Yep, you guessed it – another one of my friends and I used to order pizza so he would deliver it! Lol! He was really a nice guy and very smart too – good business sense. Well, you said you get star struck so I hope you enjoyed the little stories! 😀 I’d love to tell you about some people I went to school with but then I’d give my age away! Lol! It was only for a year anyway, but you would remember them. I have no idea what happened to them… I’ll have to google them… Lol!
Well, hubby and I are off now, going out for Mexican tonight. Love Mexican on a rainy evening! 😀 This place has the best chips and salsa and once in a while I just have to indulge! 😀

I got the new popover sweater which has elbows sleeves in the turquoise. I will try it. I thought for our trip this might work. If not….it goes back. Beats schlepping through the mall. I know Marla has a TS in February. That and Heidi’s TS will be the ones I look forward to. If anyone has other thoughts……let’s wait till the market finds its path again. Actually…if I avoid the mall…okay send suggestions.

Did you see The American Style show on CNN. Of course not….well, if you get a chance please watch it. It was fascinating. So much about the mens’ and womens’ fashion follow the feelings of the periods they discuss.

Shake Your Tail Feathers

Over time, we have learned to suppress some of the most fun aspects of our individuality.

Most of us express our distinctiveness in many ways throughout our lives. Although, as we proudly share our offbeat traits and preferences with the world, we take great pains to downplay those eccentricities we ourselves deem odd. Instead of living lives colored by these quirky impulses, we seek out socially acceptable outlets for our peculiarities. We may not realize that we are editing ourselves in this way because our individual societal awareness is unintentionally attuned to the attitudes of the people we encounter each day. Over time, we have learned to suppress some of the most fun aspects of individuality. To rediscover and embrace these buried traits, we need only ask ourselves what we would do if we knew for certain that no one would judge our choices.

Visualizing this day without judgment can help you better understand the idiosyncrasies that are an important part of who you are but seldom manifest themselves in your existence. Perhaps you secretly dream of replacing grown-up, conservative clothing in favor of a changing array of costumes. You may envision yourself painting your car electric-green, hugging the trees in a crowded local park, singing joyous songs as you skip through your community, or taking up an exciting hobby like fire spinning. Try not to be surprised, however, if your imagination takes you in unexpectedly simple directions. In your musings, you may see yourself doing things such as breaking out in dance or dying your hair a fun color. Regardless of the nature of your suppressed peculiarities, ask yourself what is really stopping you from making them a part of your life, and then resolve to incorporate at least one into your everyday existence.

Life as we know it is so short. Making the most of years we are granted is a matter of being ourselves even though we know that we will inevitably encounter people who disapprove of our choices. When you shake your tail feathers like no one is watching, you will discover that there are many others who appreciate you because you are willing to let go of any inhibition. By doing this you help others know it is okay. No one else in the world is precisely like you and, each time you revel in this simple fact, you rededicate yourself to the celebration of individuality. ♥

Thank you for thinking of me and yes I was FROZEN toes only. I have never shovel this
much snow and it took out about 900,000 people homes and we still have about 400,000
without power. That sucks and I hope they went to someone’s home or got shelter too
cold to sit in a frozen house. This has been surreal. I was able to listen to my music on
my iphone but no data, no internet, no cable. Wow I wonder what life would be like
with all of these things. I wonder…

I had a great dream i was at a New Kids On The Block Concert and I have had front row
seats at two in the past. The moon is doing it’s thing already. 🙂 I am glad your family had
a great time in Big Bear. I don’t think the kids would like it here except both States have
no school today. I am warming up now.
