OMG…that prednisone sounds awful. I know many people who have been on it due to the bronchial infection going around. I think my sister took it during the course of her illness. It is 42 years now but I think it was that.

Plus, you caring of the Fur Baby clan. So much love is what you give. With one dog I never stop worrying. Since Avi died on October 23; I know part of me went away and is being stubborn about coming back. Ari is a lifesaver but more for my husband. For me; he is joy and love and worry. Someone commented that they couldn’t believe he was a rescue. We all need tender, loving, playful care. Kitten, you are an angel. I seem to find them on this thread.

Now, when we go to rescue Sheba, Southernlights and Loaf….could we bring Sheba’s closet with us? We could play dress up for days.

Oh yeah, I remember my skin breaking out but it was far better than what I had been going through and also the allergic reaction to the meds they started to treat me with. I would have taken anything at that point! Yeah, Prednisone is nasty stuff but it serves its purpose when needed. I just hate it.
I am sorry about your SIL. It takes time, sometimes a long time. Hang in there and try to think of the fun times and memories. I am trying to get there. I want to be able to think of those things when a loved one comes to mind instead of always crying. It just takes time…

I know all about prednisone I refused it. My skin broke out after surgery from Morphine.
I said no and it took a minute but my skin slowly returned to normal by using natural
moisture creme. It was the itch I could not stand. I hope I never go through that again.

I said no because my SIL was a RN with a Master and she had to take prednisone well
it did not end well for her. Joss passed last Christmas Day 2017. I am still dealing with
that because in this City she was my closet go to person and I miss her everyday.
Joss was a Leo too. ♥ Anyway I will be praying and thinking of Chewey. I know everything
will be alright.

Yes, Chewey doing much better today and I’m feeling hopeful. I’ve been really down. He has eaten three cans of food today and grain. He is dinking water but his fluids (I don’t think HSN will let me say the word) is still very concentrated. The prednisone makes him very hungry and will help him gain weight back, plus soothe the intestinal issues. I hate prednisone. The first time I got sick I was put on mega doses because I am allergic to the meds used to treat me. It was awful! I lost most of my hair and my tummy looked like I was 15 months pregnant. I went “legally blind” (meaning I could see light and dark and fuzzy shapes right in front of my face. As soon as my dosage was lowered my eyesight returned). Anyway, prednisone at high dosage is awful. I feel for Chewey! And it tastes so bad! He is not on a really high dosage though, just enough to soothe him and get his weight back. Our goal is 13 lbs. He has dropped down to 7lbs. We are keeping him warm and his body temp is fine. He has been walking around today so he is feeling better but sure enjoys his little fur bed! 😀
Now, how to solve the problem of rescuing Sheba? Hmmm… We need to rescue southern lights and loaf too! I know! I think Taci and her husband own a private plane. At least her hubby has his license. Maybe we can get them to fly in and pick them up! I sure hope it’s a big plane because I’m sure they are going to want to bring their hubbies and doggies and cats! My uncle used to own a private jet for his business but he passed away and now all my cousins are retired so I don’t know what has happened to that, but oh, how fun to take that! 😀 We will figure something out! Lol!
