@Cherie,
I think you have a great idea there about bichon and her romance novel! I for one, would love to see her explore that idea! 😀
I agree, we have quire a lovely little group here and we all love each other and care about each other. When I first came here, it was at the suggestion of @pammylou. She welcomed me and made me feel at home (I think it was in Faire’s thread) and mentioned I would be welcome here too because all the ladies were so nice. “Not a mean girl in the bunch”, I think were her words. I am glad I checked it out! 😀
Mentioned AL CholestaCare to Dr today and he was insistent that because I am on such a powerful heart med to regulate my heart that I should only take what has been in medical journal studies and has proven reports that it works. Plus he said the pharmacist would be familiar with it and would let me know how much I can take with my meds. He said we will monitor my liver. I won’t have the results for a few more days and then he says if necessary I can start the red rice yeast. If I go on it, I don’t think I will have to be on it long because I have made such improvements on my own with eating right and walking. I’m just a little unsure of the numbers because I didn’t do too well over Christmas. I had pizza. spaghetti, scones, cookies, lots of potatoes and stuffing. I sure hope my sugars and cholesterol didn’t go up by too much. I just want to get to a point where all my numbers are healthy and not anywhere near high or borderline. More weight loss will help too. I can’t wait to feel good again! He said I was fine to start a magnesium/potassium supplement. I am already taking AL’s CoQ10 with Vitamin D3-2000. My Vitamin D was low at one time so he will check it next labs and potassium too. Thank you for caring and for your suggestions! 😀
I hope you have been having a good day! Be sure to get your rest! Hugs to you! 😀

Hi Kittengirl;
I understand what you are saying. My husband has given up trying to convince me to write a book. He thinks I could write books for children. I always loved writing and the creative process. Truth has always been a great inspiration for me. Now, if only, I had an old-fashioned electric typewriter. I could fly on those.
Thinking about you and your trip to the doctors office. You see my doctor put me on Statins with weight loss dangling at me. He is very correct about weight loss. He is also realistic on what would be okay for me in terms of losing. I am back at exercise and I hope it lasts.
Yes, the packable puffers that Northface makes seem to be the most desirable. A long hip length or something just above the knee would work. Finding one is my project for next week. Black. I will investigate.
Marla is coming but it seems like vendors are disappearing.
Put your feet up and surround yourself in a circle of felines. Very sweet and very tactile. Enjoy

I think you should add to your elevator story (um, rendezvous…). Just start writing and experimenting with different scenarios. Close your eyes and imagine. Have fun. As Cherie said, it does sound like a great start to a romance novel! Oh what fun you could have! Did I ever mention I am a writer? I have enjoyed it most of my life. This is why I really want to travel. Experiences make the best material. Anyway, I think Cherie has a good point and you should give it some thought. I think you are a natural.
Just an idea… look at, Lands End, LL Bean, REI and even Talbots for their packable down jackets; easier to fit in your suitcase and waterproof. The Marla sale is tempting on the jacket but you might run into snow and rain over there. If you love it though, then go for what your heart wants.
Did you get Samantha Brown’s TS when she was here last week? It was tempting for me and I don’t even need any more luggage! I am getting excited for you! How fun your trip will be! 😀 We will miss you here though so you will have to let us live vicariously through you when you return and fill our imaginations with fun stories! 😀I hope you are having a good day. All my best to Jerry and Ari. 😀

Hi Sheba;
Thinking about your thinking and worrying about something happening to these threads. In just a few months I have found a lovely little group much like the pen pals of another time.
So, I will say this….when I married Jerry I went from being a grounded person to becoming Stabler. Just saying.
By the way, we have AMC. I will get my Bette Davis fixes. Is that the channel you mentioned. It is okay. We have it. Right now, I am avoiding the news. That is for larger. I am currently watching Goodfellas. Yes, I have said it before. What an unbelievable cast. I could watch
Robert Di Nero read the yellow pages. Wait wait wait…….there are no yellow pages anymore.Now, they are showing the scene where Ray Liotta is with Joe Pesci at Idlewild Airport which became Kennedy Airport. Sensational acting.
Stay warm and hug Poppy.

@Sheba,
How are you doing today? I am thinking of Faire and have been praying for her. I wonder when she will be up to letting us know she is ok? She has had so much on her plate lately. I hate that she has to go through this again but thankful they found the blockage and can help her.
Blood-work and Dr visit went fine. I have another appointment with him on the 20th to have a weird mole removed. It isn’t anything to worry about, it just hurts me. It is on my upper arm. I am looking forward to it being gone. It is relatively new and I wouldn’t care except it hurts when it is touched. I am finally going to set up the other tests I need tomorrow. I need to just get them done so we can move forward when I’m ready. I am beginning to warm up to the surgery because I am so tired of these meds. They are very strong ones. As soon as I can imagine me having a good outcome, I will go through with it. 😀
We had some interesting weather today. We had hail and then rain. Sun is out now and skies are mostly a beautiful blue. The foothills are getting snow and there is a freeze warning for tonight. That could effect the orange trees and all our lovely oranges if it lasts a while but I think it is just for tonight so it will be ok. It is definitely spring here with trees in bud and some in bloom, daffodils and camellias looking very cheery. People here usually don’t do well with daffodils because our winters don’t get cold enough and don’t last too long; they usually have to buy a type meant for warm weather areas or re-plant every fall.
I am watching Rifleman and resting. We are going out for Mexican tonight. I think I will get the meatball soup. I hope Faire is doing well. I keep thinking of her. I hope you are having a good day. What have you been up to? How is your Dad doing? Your sister? Any more snow expected? You stay warm and cozy! Hugs to Poppy! 😀 I don’t know if you read what I posted to you and bichon, just in case, thank you for the encouragement – I really appreciate it! 😀

Hi Sheba;
Wish I had more to the Elevator story. Dr. Zhivago and Nicky Arnstein standing two feet from me. Ah, how I should have inched over.
Went to a cooking demo this morning. It was my idea and i was proud to see how well it went. I believe it was for thirty people followed by lunch with what the chef demonstrated.
Butternut Squash Gnochi
Halibut Salad with the a wonderful cooked dressing made with capers and all good things
Apple Tart With Vanilla Ice Cream.Ate the salad, sampled the Gnochis and tasted the tart. Yum.
And…30 minutes on our elliptical before my shower this AM.
On a roll to eliminate any rolls.
Are you freezing? Sheba, I am so tempted to get Marla’s puffer coat in Black reversible to black. This would be for my trip. I don’t know. Mixed Reviews.
Stay warm.
