Welcome to conversation – 15. This is number 15 of this thread.
We are in TAY. This Thread is three years old.
I hope you enjoy this as it covers music, fashion and most of all
Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.
Please remember this is TAY! I am still learning the new system so bear with me.
Blessings to you all. ♥ Happy Holidays ♥

Hi Amy! How is your day going? Any second thoughts on your Heidi purchases? I hope not. I bought a Patricia Nash handbag when it was the TS. I got it in the straw rose floral pattern and it’s really cute but I have been trying to decide if I REALLY want it or just want it. I watched a Rarities show today and some pieces I have LOVED are on sale and at a savings of $105 – $129, depending on what I get. If I decide to get them, I will return the handbag. See? I sound just like you! Lol! But at least you cancelled your order before placing a new one! HSN just makes it too easy sometimes! The jewelry is beautiful. 623-488 and 623-494 or I might get 636-467 and 636-463. I’m leaning toward the latter. Oh, I do have such a weakness for beautiful jewelry!
How is your weather today? It is hot here again. 95, just a bit cooler than yesterday but you’d never know it. How does Ari handle the heat? The kitties get lethargic. So do I. I am done in the garage for the day and will try early in the morning. It is too hot.
Have a good one Amy! I think if the ice cream truck came by I would be sooo tempted. Time for another water… Hugs to Ari. 😀

@Sheba,
Good morning and Happy Thursday! I hope your headache is better today. All of those emotions are bound to do that! I hope everything is calmer for you and your family today. It is such a difficult thing to go through so take your time and make sure you have some quiet time just for yourself. Put your feet up and cuddle Poppy. 😀
Yes, I still have oranges on just one tree left. Oh my, they are so delicious, like candy! Everyday I have some fresh squeezed oj. One orange yields about 1/2 cup of juice and even though I would love to have more, I am working on getting those sugar levels down so that is all I will allow myself. I just love those orange trees! 😀
Loved your words of wisdom on worry! So true! Worry is something I have to always work on. Mostly i just worry about medical things and I’m optimistic about everything else. I wouldn’t agree to the surgery until I could see in my mind’s eye a positive outcome. Your words really hit home with me. I don’t know why medical things bother me so much when I grew up around it. Oh well…
I am glad you are having some nice spring weather. I think it is more like early summer here. 97 yesterday and I think 95 today. I am going to get some work done in my garage before it gets too hot. We have the kitty door install on Monday and the patio door re-screened then too, this time with heavy duty pet screen! Not sure when the studio will be done, we are just working on it as it comes. I am not going to put a timeline and stress myself now but we are working out there. The ceiling and insulation goes in next month on the 20th. After that is painting but just taking it one day at a time…
I hope you have a good day and make sure you get some rest. I will be back on later to post to the others when I take a break. Hugs to Poppy! 😀

Worry
Worry is an extension of fear, and can also set you up for attracting that which you don’t want in your life.
We have all had the experience of worrying about something at some point in our lives. Some of us have a habitual tendency to worry, and all of us have known someone who is a chronic worrier. Worry is an extension of fear and can be a very draining experience. In order for worry to exist, we have to imagine that something bad might happen. What we are worrying about has not happened yet, however, so this bad thing is by definition a fantasy. Understood this way, worry is a self-created state of needless fear. Still, most of us worry.
One reason we worry is because we feel like we’re not in control. For example, you might worry about your loved ones driving home in bad weather. There is nothing you can do to guarantee their safe passage, but you worry until you find out they have reached their destination unharmed. In this instance, worry is an attempt to feel useful and in control. However, worrying does nothing to ensure a positive outcome and it has an unpleasant effect on your body, mind, and spirit. The good news is that there are ways to transform this kind of worry so that it has a healing effect. Just as worry uses the imagination, so does the antidote to worry. Next time you find that you are worrying, imagine the best result instead of anticipating the worst outcome. Visualize your loved ones’ path bathed in white light and clearly see in your mind’s eye their safe arrival. Imagine angels or guides watching over them as they make their way home. Generate peace and well-being instead of nervousness and unease within yourself.
Another reason we worry is that something that we know is pending but are avoiding is nagging us–an unpaid parking ticket, an upcoming test, an issue with a friend. In these cases, acknowledging that we are worried and taking action is the best solution. If you can confront the situation and own your power to change it, you’ll have no reason to worry.

Simon & Garfunkel
“The Sound Of Silence”Hello, darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silenceIn restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silenceAnd in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence“Fools,” said I, “You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you.”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silenceAnd the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, “The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence.” -
Cherie,
I have not slept by myself since I was 18.♥ Yes I have been on several retreats they are
fine with me and yes I silence sometimes. Cherie there are times in my life I wish some
people would be silent. LOL! Yeah it’s like that. 🙂I am grieving my cousin who was suffering a stroke he never recovered from and yeah it
is sad at 51 just like Luke Perry. I have another close relative coming down the pike. I don’t
write about them like I use to. I try to keep the thread uplifting people really don’t want to
hear all that I don’t know what people want so I do what i want. 🙂Cherie it’s not your question I just feel like out of it right now. I will be alright in a few days.
Talking to different family members can be daunting and it can wear you out. This too
shall pass see I have a wise mother too. ♥ My mom seems to be alright that is the main thing
so are her two sisters. ♥ I am so glad they are calm that is the main thing during this time.I have not told my father yet nor have I told him about the others. I won’t either. I have
Game of Thrones on DVD since my daughter works on that show and HBO. I can watch
anytime. I want them to wrap up TWD. Cherie you and the Captain have a great day.
Hugs to your mom and MIL. I am just going to breath. ♥
Cherie this is the singer who sings in the car you now own did you ever get her CD? -
