Welcome to conversation – 15. This is number 15 of this thread.
We are in TAY. This Thread is three years old.
I hope you enjoy this as it covers music, fashion and most of all
Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.
Please remember this is TAY! I am still learning the new system so bear with me.
Blessings to you all. ♥ Happy Holidays ♥

Hi Sheba;
Oh you bet. Yes, I love that bike. Weight going slowly but I am persevering. In the meantime I ordered a blouse from Marla in size large which was use. Mind you, her clothes run Lviv sometimes but this was huge. Sending it back for a medium. Got the matching slouch pants which were huge as well.
Because of my Peleton Progress; I just treated myself to the bicycle le pin which Heidi is showing today. I will wear it with white, black or bright on a cord. Ari asked if he could sit in the bike’s little basket. He is such a guy.
Jerry’s new car body is supposed to be in Georgia today, tomorrow or something like that. It looks almost identical to the current car. So, we shall go for a drive when it arrives. He wears it well. Me, I really loved a convertible he had a few years back. It was a rich dark blue without being too navy. Truthfully, I wanted him to keep it for me. The problem was my car, at that time, was only a year or two old and not paid off. Okay, the convertible had higher mileage. I hardly put miles on my cars. Oh well…I like my current crossover very much but I adored that convertible. All for the best. No complaints.
I hope you are feeling great and still and will be in the Birthday spirit.
Amy

@Sheba,
Top of the morning to you too! It’s very late morning here – almost noon but technically morning. 😀 I love your message for me today! You always take the time to send each of us a special message or beautiful picture and I just want you to know how special that is and how special YOU are! Thank you! What attracted me to this thread in the beginning was how positive it was and how nice all the ladies are to eachother and believe me, I appreciate it more and more! 😀
Hubby is doing much better, thank you! His shingles don’t hurt anymore and his rib feels a little better. He is moving around better but still taking it easy. These things just take time. I think the hardest thing for both of us right now is the ringworm that was on the two orphaned kittens. They were very dirty when they came to us and covered from head to toe and tail with ringworm and a bad case of mites. They were immediately kept by themselves but the ringworm is very highly contagious and even airborne so it spread to Tamera and Harper who are in their own room by themselves. Lots of extra cleaning, laundry and disinfecting and lots of medicine to put on the kitties and us. It showed up first on Hubby and then on me after my angiogram. Daughter got it too. It kills me that I cant cuddle with the kitties and need to wear gloves. It takes a while to go away so we are pretty much stuck at home so we don’t spread it to someone else. Vet said she is seeing an influx of it this year probably due to the higher than normal humidity levels here. I just will be glad when it’s all cleared up. We use a black light in the dark to check the kitties and their progress. It is almost cleared up on the kitties and we are hoping it hasn’t spread anymore. Lots of fun. sigh… Are you sorry you asked? Lol!
I LOVED your words today Sheba! So true! I’m still getting caught up but all the words I’ve read so far have been really good! 😀 Have a great day and I hope you do something fun or relaxing. Kitty hugs! 😀

Taking on the Energy of Others
To protect ourselves from taking on any negative energy from people or situations, we can learn to shield.
There are times when you may find that being around certain individuals or groups of people leaves you with feelings of discomfort. It may be that spending time with a particular friend feels draining or that dealing with a specific coworker exhausts you. Being around toxic or angry people is also draining. And you may even find that being surrounded by a crowd of people lowers your energy levels rather than perks you up. This is not that unusual. Each of us radiates energy and is capable of being influenced by the energy of other people. It is important to learn how to shield yourself, so you don’t unknowingly take on someone else’s energy. While some people know how to instinctively protect themselves from being adversely affected by energy, most of us need to discover and practice the technique that works best.
There are a number of ways to avoid being affected by people’s energy. Shielding is one preventative technique you can use. Center yourself and envision being enveloped in a cocoon of loving and protective light. This protective layer should allow you to consciously regulate the energy around you. The intent to shield oneself is all you need for this technique to work. You can even create a trigger word to assist you in quickly creating a shield. Say this word each time you create a new shield, until the word and the shield become automatically associated in your mind. If you run into a person whose energy you find draining, you may want to cleanse your own energy field after your encounter. Sage, cold showers, singing, mineral water baths, spending time in nature, and a simple break to recharge are all ways to accomplish this.
While it is important to know how to shield yourself from energy, there are those energies that you may not want to shut out. The energy of laughter from a newborn baby, the feeling of joy radiating from someone in love, and the frequency of calm emanating from an enlightened teacher are just some of the energies coming from others that you may want to have around you. AMEN!
