HI LADIES . GOOD MORNING I HAVE BEEN BUYING LOTS OF FLOWERS FOR THE YARD AND LITTLE GRANDSON HAS BEEN HELPING PLANT OUR GARDEN . WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN CENTER HERE WELL KEPT . THEY SUPPLY FOUNTAINS AND FLOWERS FOTLOCAL TV STATION

DEAR SHEBA I HAD A GLITCH AND ACCEDENTLY ORDERED TWO HEIDI SPRIN G FEVER NECKLACES . I WANTED ONE FO ME . TOO LATE TO CANCEL SO I HAVE TO SEND ONE BACK LOL.

DEAR BICHON MY SISTERINLAW DID A INTERVIEW ON CAMERA WITH LATE MOMINLAW AND SHE WROTE A COOK BOOK WITH PHOTOS AND RECIPES .MOMINLAW PASSED IN FEBUARY AT 96. SHE HAD A FRIEND NAMED GOLDIE IN FLORIDA .HUGS LOAF

The cake sounded wonderful. You know there are recipes that should not leave our homes except to be passed to another generation. It is nice to grow that your grandmothers specialties stay in your family so they can create new memories while holding onto the tradition.
It means so much.

Baking is a labor of love as is much cooking. Now….do not laugh….My grandmother never cooked a day in her life. She is why I took an interest in the art of cooking. When mommy would go on a trip alone and after she married Poppa; Grandma Goldie would come to stay. What she would attempt to put together was terrible. Don’t get me wrong; I adored my grandmother. She just didn’t cook. So….I learned using my first Betty Crocker cookbook at 9 years old. My mother supervised my early endeavors strictly for safety.

Within a few years my grandmother looked forward to the meals she was served. Memories of meals with Grandma can be different. She did not make the pies; I did. My paternal grandmother died when I was three. SHE was a gourmet cook and had a professional kitchen! I do not have a single recipe of hers. Not one. Go figure. No recipes from either grandmother.

I tell you what I do have…cookbooks filled with recipes compiled from survivors of the concentration camps. Many of these recipes were told to them from those that did not survive.
Very interesting. Every now and then I will prepare something from one of these. I feel that when I do….someone is being remembered.

Enjoy the leftovers if you didn’t send everyone home with packages.

Your neighbor’s house sounds like a very comfortable place to be on the holidays. Factor in no driving and easy break to walk Poppy and that is a great formula. Truly believe in being comfortable with the people in one’s life.

Yes, the top looks like a winner during the summer months. I can see white crops with a two inch heel for dinner. That is as dressy as we get with the humid heat I guess the word crisp comes to mind. This and a glass of Pellegrino with a splash or without. Perfect.

I always celebrate the holidays with them as they have a large family and we know the
same people plus it helps we are up on a Deck. I have known them 20 years so that helps.
Jasmine their daughter is beautiful and just got her Master’s in Business. So we were celebrating
that too. Yep that is the fun house on the block daughter has her own pad and jazzy new
car. 🙂

Amy I have not tried this brand yet but looking at it I will. I have covered Nina Leonard on this
thread before and I love your top OMG! You are right your color is not up yet when it is
