Makes me wonder what happened too but whatever it was, it was traumatic for him. Poor baby. My son adopted a beautiful cat a few years ago from the shelter. She is an older cat and her former “owner” died. My son cannot lie down on the floor or she starts panicking and crying! He seems to think that maybe she found him on the floor. They have no way to tell us except with their behavior and some of these babies go through some rough things! They grieve just like us when they lose someone and often exhibit weird behavior. In 2017 I lost 4 cats all in a row and the other cats really grieved! They looked everywhere for them. It’s hard to see them so sad or distraught.
Is there anything that comforts Jake when he gets like that? Does he go to the same objects? Or the same place? I’m just trying to think if there is some familiar place where he feels safe that can be turned into his “safe place” during storms. Have you ever heard of Jason Galaxy? He specializes in cats but there might be someone who specializes in dog behavior. It is perplexing that’s for sure. I hope he will start to be less and less afraid of rainstorms as time goes by.

Hello Kittengirl,
Been thinking about you. So good to hear you and Hubby are doing better. I’m sorry your kitties are dealing with their own health issues. As a mom of 2 rescue dogs, I just hate it when they are feeling bad and worry until they are better.
I know you love those little sweeties and that must be the hardest thing not to be able to love on them.

I have seen/heard of it. They even sell it at the gift store at the shelter and everyone I know that has tried it shrugs their shoulders. Out of all my dogs, Jake is the worst. My other dogs would lie down and shake or look for somewhere to hide. Jake gets crazy and wants to tear up whatever he can get his mouth on. And that’s just with a little rain, not even thunder or lightning. He was picked up as a stray so I have no idea what happened to make him this way. Other than that (which is a major obstacle), he is the perfect pet.

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty

I am glad your Dad is comfortable for now but I wish he didn’t have to deal with it at all. I hope BIL’s treatment helps. Good to hear your sis is holding her own. I hate cancer too and unfortunately, neither one of us is a stranger to it. Thank you for understanding about my cousin.
My son says they are starting to manufacture the new drug and it is so promising but will be available in limited amounts at first because it is so expensive to produce. It can’t get here soon enough!

I want to knock the daylights out of this nerve pain. My tooth is perfect it is the nerve.
The Specialist asked if I was under stress I said Ah ya think? I did not know stress can
affect your teeth SHIZZLE!

I say SHIZZLE on the heat too. I DO NOT LIKE HOT SUMMERS. Bring on the FALL NOT THE
EXTREME COLD BUT A NICE COOL WONDERFUL FALL. 🙂

Hey, I was reading where Jake gets nervous about the rain. Have you ever heard of or tried a “Thunder Shirt”? Look into it if you haven’t. It might help. Have a good evening. 😀

I have a lot of VC shoes too! I love his shoes! I have purses and clothes too! His leggings are really nice. I am so glad his brand is back at HSN. I remember when he would come and present his line. Such a nice man.

Another hot day for us today, with the heat index over 100.🥵🥵 Yikes
Just stayed in today. Hubby took munchkins for a short walk early. No one enjoyed it. I will get my walk in on the treadmill.
I enjoy reading and have been doing a lot of that today and probably tomorrow as well since more of the same hot weather.
I’m so sorry that darn tooth is causing you pain this weekend. It is good you have an appointment and will see the Specialist this coming week.
I have my semi annual labs on Wednesday and Dr appointment a few days
later. Hubby has his eye appointment Tuesday. Thankfully these are here in Boerne and we don’t have to drive very far.
Jewel and Little D are all rested up from the party and ready for the next one!
