Thank you for your prayers sis is out of surgery and is doing alright the next 48 hours
are important. My nerves are raw. I don’t want my mom to worry we just lost 2 close
relatives and the family are all calling my mom. Friday will tell the story.

Glad again Pumpkin is doing fine. Wow I am remembering your cat’s name. As stressed as
I am I can still recall names. LOL!

Sister is out of surgery and resting in the hospital my mom and siblings are there.

Hello Kittengirl. I saw some pics of your renovation project. Now, that is a garage to be proud of. Your space is cozy, neat and just inviting. How nice to have your own area where you can spread out with your “tools” and just create away. I enjoy refinishing furniture, especially a thrift store find that needs a little love and give it a new life and new look. I think your new desk will have plenty of room for your kitty assistants. I can just picture them sitting and playing around you.
Houston is not far from us, about 190 miles. We also try to escape the summer heat by heading to the New Mexico mountains in July. We hike, bike and just enjoy being outside. Fur babies go too and enjoy longer walks.
I’m going to try your yummy recipe. Just bought strawberries. They are so good right now.

Born and raised in/near Pittsburgh. Except for not too many clear, sunny days, I love it here. Don’t have big, dramatic weather, real estate is very affordable, great health systems and colleges and overall very friendly people. I doubt that I will leave one of the “most livable cities.” My sister moved to Hawaii back in the early 80’s and is now in Cali and will not move back to Pgh. She is too used to the warm weather all year. Thanks for asking!

Good evening, Sheba. I hope you have heard good news on your sister. I thought about that all day. Will be glad when this weekend is over. Sunday would have been my step-father’s birthday so I will be spending the day with mom so she is not too upset. I will need some fun for next week. Jake will be down for the count for a few days from all the “camp” activities.

I’ve been up and going since 3:30 this morning and I am already feeling like I’ve put in a full day! First things first when I wake up and that is prayers so your sister was not forgotten. You said she was early this morning and I wonder if you have heard anything? Do you know how long it will be before it’s over? I am glad your headache is better today but be sure to go easy today as I am sure you are stressed.
No, no fun in garage today – too hot. Yes, hubby is sweet about taking the munchies in by himself at times and I do appreciate it. We are under excessive heat warning and people with health conditions are strongly urged to stay indoors so I don’t venture out if I can help it when it is like this. I got my walk in at 5 am and it was already hot and humid but at least no sun beating down on us! I won’t go outdoors again until early tomorrow. Since I’m indoors all day I am going to do some cleaning and laundry before I watch a movie with the kitties.
Your sister, you and your family are in my prayers today. Hugs to Poppy! 😀

Thank you Cherie and Southernlights55 for sharing your recipes. I have another refreshing summer fave to share with you all that i think you will like:
1- 8 oz pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
1- 7 oz jar Kraft marshmallow creme
Combine softened cream cheese and marshmallow creme; mix until well blended. Serve with fresh fruit – whatever kind you want: apples, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, grapes, peaches, nectarines. It is also good on shortcake. 😀

@southernlights55, How did Bear’s vet visit go? Sorry the Elton movie was just ok. I bet it was sad how he was treated! I saw a good one on Netflix the other night called Imitation Game. Very sad (sad overall, not a tear jerker) but very good and I highly recommend. Have a good one! 😀
