Welcome to conversation – 15. This is number 15 of this thread.
We are in TAY. This Thread is three years old.

I hope you enjoy this as it covers music, fashion and most of all
Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.
Please remember this is TAY! I am still learning the new system so bear with me.
Blessings to you all. ♥ Happy Holidays ♥

    I Think I Love You
    The Partridge Family

I was sleeping and right in the middle of a good dream
Like all at once I wake up from something that keeps knocking at my brain
Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed screaming out the words I dread
I think I love you (I think I love you)
This morning I woke up with this feeling
I didn’t know how to deal with and so I just decided to myself
I’d hide it to myself and never talk about it
And did not go and shout it when you walked into the room
I think I love you (I think I love you)
I think I love you so what am I so afraid of
I’m afraid that I’m not sure of a love there is no cure for
I think I love you isn’t that what life is made of
Though it worries me to say that I never felt this way
    I don’t know what I’m up against
    I don’t know what it’s all about
I got so much to think about
Hey, I think I love you so what am I so afraid of
I’m afraid that I’m not sure of a love there is no cure for
I think I love you isn’t that what life is made of
Though it worries me to say I never felt this way
Believe me you really don’t have to worry
I only wanna make you happy and if you say “hey go away” I will
But I think better still I’d better stay around and love you
Do you think I have a case let me ask you to your face
Do you think you love me?
    I think I love you
    I think I love you
    I think I love you
    I think I love you
    I think I love you
    I think I love you
    I think I love you
    I think I love you

    Angel – Sarah McLachlan

    Spend all your time waiting
    For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
    There’s always some reason
    To feel not good enough
And it’s hard, at the end of the day
    I need some distraction
    Oh, beautiful release
    Memories seep from my veins
    And maybe empty
    Oh, and weightless, and maybe
    I’ll find some peace tonight
In the arms of the angel
    Fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
    Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here
So tired of the straight line
    And everywhere you turn
There’s vultures and thieves at your back
    The storm keeps on twisting
    Keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
    It don’t make no difference
    Escape one last time
It’s easier to believe in this sweet madness
    Oh, this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees
In the arms of the angel
    Fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
    Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

Well on DWTS Jordan Fisher is the winner. ♥ He was always my top pick. ♥

Congrats with that Mirror Ball. Now on to the Voice and I will see who will be
    the next VOICE. ♥

David Cassidy, a singer and actor whose androgynous features and jaunty voice made him a 1970s teen heartthrob on the “The Partridge Family” television show, died on Tuesday at age 67, his publicist said.

Cassidy, who was diagnosed with dementia in his 60s, entered a Florida hospital over the weekend and succumbed to organ failure. He died in the hospital’s intensive care unit, his publicist, Jo-Ann Geffen, said in a telephone interview.

Geffen released a statement from his family that said Cassidy died surrounded by loved ones “with joy in his heart and free from the pain that had gripped him for so long.”

With dark hair cascading over his shoulders, hazel eyes and a look that emulated many rock stars of the day, Cassidy was cast at 19 in “The Partridge Family” for his sex appeal to girls, not his singing. When the show’s producers discovered Cassidy’s melodious voice, he became lead singer in the family band.

He played the teenager Keith Partridge whose widowed mother – portrayed by his stepmother, Shirley Jones – formed a touring pop band with her offspring, traveling to gigs in a multi-colored bus.

The sitcom produced a number of hit songs, including “I Think I Love You,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard chart in 1970, the year the show debuted.

The Oscar-winning Jones was his mentor as well as his co-star, and the two remained friends and collaborators long after the show ended in 1974.

“At first, David was overwhelmed with the whole thing and his ego blew way up,” Jones told Life magazine in 1971. “And I think he hoped that some of those adoring fans would come a little closer to his own age.”

On his own, as a performer who played guitar and piano in addition to singing, Cassidy sold millions of copies of his debut album, “Cherish,” in 1972. He drew large crowds of mostly teen and pre-teen girls at concerts around the world.

Girls tried to pierce security perimeters to touch the star and spent their allowances on merchandise emblazoned with his image, including lunch boxes and 3-D postcards. His fan club was one of the largest of its kind.

The fandom surrounding Cassidy approached the hysteria of Beatlemania a decade earlier and culminated in a stampede at a 1974 show in London.

Cassidy announced soon afterward he would not stage another global concert tour.

    TROUBLED LIFE, STALLED CAREER

Cassidy was born in New York City in 1950 to actors Jack Cassidy and Evelyn Ward, and he announced his interest in show business at age 3, when he was coming home in a taxi from seeing his father in a stage show.

After his parents divorced, Cassidy lived with his father and his new wife, Jones. Cassidy appeared in a short-lived Broadway show and had guest roles on television before his breakthrough in “The Partridge Family.”

It would give him the best years, by far, of his career.

Cassidy had an acclaimed guest role on the television show “Police Story” in 1978 and continued to record albums in the decades that followed, with sporadic success on the charts. He also performed in musical theater on Broadway, in London’s West End and in Las Vegas.

But he struggled financially for years and declared bankruptcy in 2015.

Cassidy also confessed to abusing drugs and alcohol and was arrested multiple times for driving under the influence.

He said on the talk show “Dr. Phil” in 2017 that he had to get to visit his mother when she was in the hospital. She died of dementia, as did his grandfather.

Cassidy told People magazine that he was in denial for a time about his own dementia. “But a part of me always knew this was coming,” he said.

Cassidy, who lived in Florida late in life, was married three times and is survived by his son, Beau, and his daughter, Katie, who have both had their own careers in show business.

Who will win DWTS Season 25 based my view it’s between
LINDSEY STIRLING and Jordan Fisher. Good luck to both. ♥
Jordan is more of a dancer and performer but Lindsey has done
    some phenomenal dancing. ♥

Season 25 of Dancing with the Stars has been one of the most competitive years yet, and the contestants have had everything from shocking double eliminations to terrifying injuries thrown in their path so far. Now, we’re down to three finalists, who all have a decent shot at walking away with the Mirrorball.

Jordan Fisher was the early frontrunner of this season, which was not totally surprising given his Broadway background. He’s mastered every piece of choreography Lindsay Arnold has thrown at him without looking half as shaky or awkward as most celebs on the show. Jordan and Lindsay have never been in danger of elimination, and they’ve also gotten the most perfect scores of anyone on the show this year. When it comes to pure talent and technique, Jordan and Lindsay have this competition in the bag.

Unfortunately, it’s not always the most talent dancer who snags first place on this show.

Moving on to Lindsey Stirling, we should all take a minute to remember she’s the only female contestant in the final three. She’s had no dance background, and yet she’s still killing it on this show with lifts and turns and choreography that no beginner would normally dare to tackle. What’s more, it’s about 200 percent more challenging to be a girl in the ballroom than a guy. No offense, but sometimes dudes coast by just standing there and lifting, whereas the women have to look awesome and bend in ways no human should for these routines. Not to mention, women do all the same steps as the guys, they just do them BACKWARDS. Where Lindsey Stirling is concerned, being awesome and being the only female celeb left should be something we all consider in our final judgements.

And finally, we finish on Frankie. Frankie Muniz also had no dance background before coming on the show, but he’s taken to it like a fish to water. His acting ability makes his performances intense and incredibly entertaining, which oftentimes makes up for any missteps in his technique. Pair that with the powerhouse that is his partner Witney Carson, and you’ve got a killer combo. He’s also Frankie freaking Muniz, and if you don’t think he’s the most lovable contestant on the show, I don’t know what to say to you. If ever an “underdog” deserved to win the Mirrorball for dedication alone, it’s this guy.

The Dancing with the Stars two-night finale airs Monday, Nov. 20 at 8/7c and Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 9/8c on ABC.

    Words Are Energy

Each word we speak has a life of its own, a vibratory signature that creates waves into the expanse of the universe.

When we speak or write, we use the vehicles of words to carry meaning, as well as energy, from ourselves to another person or group of people. We may be speaking to our baby, our boss, or to an audience of 500 people. We may be writing a love letter, a work-related memo, or an entry in our own diary. Whatever the case, each word we speak or write has a life of its own, a vibratory signature that creates waves in the same way that a note of music creates waves. And like musical notes, our words live in communities of other words and change in relation to the words that surround them. When we are conscious of the energy behind our words, we become capable of making beautiful music in the world. If we are unconscious of the power of words, we run the risk of creating a noisy disturbance.

Some of us know this instinctively, while others come to this understanding slowly. Most of us, though, speak without thinking at least some of the time, blurting out our feelings and thoughts without much regard for the words we choose to express them. When we remind ourselves that our words have an impact on the world at the level of energy, we may find within ourselves the desire to be more aware of our use of language.

A fun way to increase our sensitivity to the power of words is to simply make a list of our favorite words and notice the energy they contain. We can write them down and post them where we can see them, or we can speak them aloud, feeling them reverberate in our bodies and in the air around us. This is like learning to consciously play an instrument that we have been playing unconsciously for most of our lives, and the effect can be startling and delightful. As we grow more comfortable and confident playing the instrument of language, we will begin to compose beautiful messages, creating positive energy every time we write or speak.

    Here’s looking at you

    “Ruby Tuesday” Rolling Stones

She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don’t matter if it’s gone
    While the sun is bright
    Or in the darkest night
    No one knows
    She comes and goes
    Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
    Still I’m gonna miss you…
Don’t question why she needs to be so free
She’ll tell you it’s the only way to be
    She just can’t be chained
To a life where nothing’s gained
    And nothing’s lost
    At such a cost
    Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
    Still I’m gonna miss you…
There’s no time to lose, I heard her say
Catch your dreams before they slip away
    Dying all the time
    Lose your dreams
And you will lose your mind.
    Ain’t life unkind?
    Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
    Still I’m gonna miss you…
