Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.

Happy Friday evening to you. Sounds like you are looking forward to your trip as well🤗.
It’s a good thing for us to get away from our daily routine and leave that “to do” list behind for awhile. I love activities like hiking and biking that gives my mind a break so I can just enjoy the moment. Last time we hiked around Alto Lake, we saw some wild horses 🐎. What a sight to see those beautiful creatures.
Very happy to hear Sister is doing good. I have an older Sister and we are close. So glad she is going to Ruidoso this summer as well.
Weather wasn’t bad today and had fun doing some outside projects. Repainted some metal yard art. My 2 helpers were nearby and managed to stay paint free for a change!!
Got the rest of my Skinn goodies today. Definitely taking those with me.
Sorry your hot weather is kicking in. 😥 Thank goodness for A/C.

Yogis of Tibet
Every day we can incorporate actions into our lives similar to that of the great yogis of Tibet.
The word “yogi” means “to realize the wisdom of pure awareness.” To do this, the yogis of Tibet practice Tibetan Buddhist meditation techniques. They have gained a level of mastery that makes it possible for them to practice in isolation for periods of one to three years. During this time, they focus their complete attention on connecting with spirit and gain an extraordinary level of control over their minds and bodies. We may not want to focus on one activity for one to three years, but there are principles that the yogis of Tibet live by that we can apply to our lives.
Like all yogis, we can make it a priority to connect with spirit. A few moments spent focusing our attention inward can allow us to see life with fresh eyes. We can also expand our view of the world by educating ourselves like the yogis do before they attain yogic mastery. Yogis study not only spiritual disciplines, but they also study science, philosophy, the arts, and medicine. Another way to emulate the yogis of Tibet is to focus our minds on positive thoughts that affirm the well-being of the planet. Yogis chant prayers for the well-being of the world even while doing tasks that don’t require their full concentration. It is through chanting, positive thoughts, and meditation that we learn to have compassion, feel empathy, and look for the good in every situation. We also become aware of our ability to create change in the world with our thoughts, actions, and intentions.
The yogis of Tibet have been called “supreme artists of life” for their ability to treat every situation like a spiritual endeavor. As we aspire to express the same art of patience, compassion, and peace in our lives, we too can radiate the tranquility, warmth, and joy attributed to these spiritual masters.

Smoky Barbecue Burgers
Serves: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 13 minutes
Make-Ahead: Barbecue sauce can be made up to 3 days ahead, covered and refrigerated.
Ingredients
1/2 cup ketchup2 tbs. Dijon mustard
2 tbs. light brown sugar
2 tbs. molasses
2 tbs. unsalted butter
2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbs. apple cider vinegar
1 chipotle chile in adobo, finely chopped
Four 5-oz. frozen beef burger patties
1 tbs. olive oil
4 hamburger buns, toasted
1 dill pickle, thinly sliced
1/4 white onion, thinly sliced
Method
In small ovenproof saucepan, whisk ketchup, mustard, sugar, molasses, butter, Worcestershire, vinegar, and chipotle. Place over medium heat and cook sauce, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, or until it has thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
Prepare grill for medium-high heat.
Season patties with salt and pepper. Grill frozen patties about 4 minutes. Turn patties over, brush with some barbecue sauce, and grill about 4 minutes for medium-rare doneness.
Place burgers on bun bottoms. Spread more barbecue sauce on burgers, if desired, and top with pickles, onions, and bun tops and serve. Save any remaining barbecue sauce for another use.Enjoy 🙂
