@Sheba,
Yes, we are all ok and daughter is in Carmel visiting friends and did not feel it at the coast. Her kitties and house are fine. Some people here have had structural damage like cracks but so far so good. Last night right after it happened I tried to find coverage but I guess it was too soon so it doesn’t surprise me you didn’t hear anything. FOX covered it first, then CNN. I switched back and forth. It was very strong and scary. I just don’t want to be alone. Kitties seem fine, Jonnie was very scared and hid and then went on my bath towel. These quakes will scare the you know what out of you and apparently scared it out of her. Poor baby.
I’m just praying for this state to stop moving. We have had enough. Hubby tried to get me to laugh by saying “Sheba should feature Carol King’s song”. Then he started singing it.
How are you today? I hope your daughter had a great day! 😀 I hope you have a fun day with your family and Poppy. Hugs and kitty hugs! 😀@shoelady60, Thanks for the shout out to my birthday girl! Have a great day! Stay cool! Hugs and kitty hugs to you and the fur babies. 😀
Shout outs to ALL! 😀

@Cherie,
I’m glad you came home to check on mom! I understand why she would be a wreck as I am too! We are fine bur literally “shaken up”. Daughter is in Carmel at her friend’s beach house so she didn’t feel it there. Her house and kitties are fine. I guess it’s business as usual today because staying busy helps my nerves. I won’t leave the kitties unless I absolutely have to. All the kitties seem fine but Jonnie was really scared.
Is there anyone Mom can stay with so she is not alone? That is the hardest thing for me after these quakes – I just don’t want to be alone!
I’m glad your home is ok and nothing major or sentimental broken. I think I will put cameras in my house now. It really would help in these situations to monitor the kitties. Good idea! You and Captain always have it covered!
Stay safe – ALL of you! I’m praying this state stops moving. Hugs and kitty hugs! 😀@taci, Please check in and let us all know you are alright! Stay safe! Hugs and kitty hugs! 😀

Hi Amy! I hope your anniversary was fun! Sorry I can’t say the same thing about all these earthquakes! Last night I heard there have been over 1000 aftershocks from the 6.4 on the 4th. It is very unnerving to say the least! I don’t know if the kitties acted differently because they were all in the family room/kitchen at the time and I was in the bedroom. Remember how Jonnie made a secret hiding place in my box springs after she was “fixed”? I thought she was inside there and moving around at first then it got too strong to be from her. Then I saw the bedroom door swinging and I felt like I was going to fall off the bed. That’s when I saw Jonnie jump down from her fave place in my closet and bolt for under the bed! I called for hubby and moved toward the door frame but it is a weird sensation to walk during an earthquake. Everything was moving and swaying and I just held on and looked at hubby who had made it to the hallway. Geeze, I hate earthquakes Amy! I was scared but stayed calm as I knew it would only get my heart up if I let it. I hate earthquakes so much! Did I mention how much I hate earthquakes?
They were predicting a stronger earthquake than the 6.4 so i turned off my tv because I didn’t want to be fearful but they were right! I hope they are wrong in talking about a stronger one in the next few days. I’m going to get the alert system on my phone I think. Not much warning, maybe 30 seconds but if I were stepping into an elevator or on an escalator or trapped in traffic under a freeway bridge I would sure want to know! My sister who lives in AZ texted me and told me the water in the pool was sloshing. Anyway, thanks for the prayers! Yes, I want the earth to stop moving NOW! Little Jonnie did “go to the bathroom” on my bath towel and she never does that so I know she was really scared. Poor baby. The baby kittens slept through it.
Hey, did you ever read my post to you where I told you we named the calico kitten Amy? 😀
Thank you for your concern. Hopefully things will settle down and everyone can take a collective deep breath and exhale! Thank you for the prayers. We are safe. You have a great day with Jerry and Ari! Stay cool! Hugs to you and kitty hugs! 😀 -

Is all alright with you and your family I saw before turning off the Telly last night.
I was channel surfing and CNN had it on that was the only news on last night.I have not seen anything this morning. Please stay safe. I am pretty sure the kittens did not
like that one bit. -
Cherie,
I have not even turned on the Telly this morning but I did see it last night very late.
Wow just wow. Hubby was right to turn off the gas and water. I would come home and check
on my house too. Thank god the kids are safe and out of harms way. Cherie they say it will
be aftershocks. 7.1 is not to be played with. Drive safe and do what you have to do. When
this like this happen i follow the animals. Be careful hugs to you and the Captain.It takes a lot to shake your mom up. I need to watch some news your family are in my
prayers.
