Buyer beware-same address scam
I have several roommates in my household. One of them is having a problem with their HSN account so I can’t place an order and all auto-ship items are suspended until that person clears up their issue. Shame on you HSN for holding the rest of us hostage just because we have the same address as someone who has a financial issue with you. How unethical and unprofessional.

This happened to me at a UPS store in Winter Haven Florida just this week. Two HSN customers are in default, and because I use the same address with a box number that I pay for…I can’t have anything shipped there until these two clear up their issue. I even called the c/s escalation team and got the same answer. Doesn’t seem right.

I had done business with HSN for years, since the 90’s can’t even imagine the money I spent with them. Same thing happened to me. I was helping out a “friend” down on her luck when she ordered from HSN and did not pay. Did not know she had even done this till I went to order something and could not and then they told me she owed them money and had used my address. I felt very betrayed and felt this absolutely wasn’t right at first. Now just glad of the money I am saving . You can always get these products somewhere. I e-mailed them personally a couple of times telling them how I felt and never got a reply. So long HSN! You lost a great customer.

WOW, this is a great heads up for those who share shipping addresses. THX.

I think that is ridiculous HSN and QVC both do the same think and if it is a different person who cares what address it is also in apartment people move in and out! You should never go by an address only the single person no one else in their family or address!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shame on them! -
That happened to me, too. It was not recent, yet, it took my a couple months to get things cleared up. VERY frustrating, indeed. There were numerous calls back & forth. Right about the time I thought “Forget it!”…it was worked out. I understand the frustration. It ought not to be like this. It would seem if a company wants to keep their customers they would work out something more equitable.

The problem is that anyone with bad credit can try to create a new account with a new name and the only way they can catch them is to compare addresses to see it’s the same person. therefore you get drawn into the problem. I would get another roommate, she might not pay the rent either.

I’ve shopped with HSN for decades and always with MY account in good standing. When someone else shops with HSN and doesn’t pay and uses my address, I get penalized. They need to have a code or security number for customers to use who are in good standing to use on their orders. Love HSN but this is an antiquated policy. I’m not a collection agency for others.
