Baklava from Qvc is rancid
Qvc was duped. One thing I must write is that their food items are always fresh.I have no family left so decided to splurge on pretty usually delicious baklava for my 74th Christmas birthday. I was the 1st to post a review, so figure most are saving for Christmas gifts. Please open them. $60 is an expensive treat for me & I was so excited to receive pretty box & lovely baklava I immediately opened & chose the 5 I was going to eat!! lol. Oh my word they are rancid. That icky aftertaste & then could smell it as well. I saw date produced as just month & year 2/24,which means could have been 2/1 these were produced. states good for one year, but folks who ordered for Dec delivery could be getting a product 11 months old!! I feel so sad, as recipients of this expensive gift would probably feel too badly to tell sender that they are rancid. What a shame. I asked cs rep to send postage paid label, as I wanted to return hoping someone would taste them. Gas said just refunding money. Absolutely had to toss as the ick of the rancidity is so bad there is no way I could eat another one. Dont recall if doctor offering these said they were made fresh as usually said on food presentations, but this gives QVC a bad reputation. How could they know this guy is shipping his old stuff to people buying what they think fresh, lovely Christmas gifts and instead getting old rancid food. What a shame. Bet he wont be back to sell anything on the Q. How I wish someone at qvc who knows what baklava is, could taste it and then notify all purchasers of this inferior product. I wonder, did the doc bring fresh ones for the hosts to taste? Or perhaps hosts have never had baklava before & didnt realize what the horrible aftertaste was? The ones that are mostly pastry are the worst. yuck.

You do realize that you are not posting this complaint to the right company I hope.
QVC has their own forums and they are much more heavily used than these. You also have the option of posting a critical review of the product there. The two companies, although owned by the same corporation, are still separate entities.-
Thank you so much for the information. I did not know that qvc also had a forum. I did post a review on qvc, and even on yelp. Awful folks order what they think is a wonderful gift. I appreciate your time. Hope your holidays are healthy and happy.

watched presentation again, and Alberti said he loves baklava, however, usually gobbling food presented he did not eat it at all?? Also no word of fresh being sent as with most food items. Also went to dar website and guess what? The same item there is reduced to $50. I am furious with what this guy is doing to folks expecting fresh products to be sent as gifts for Christmas. My absolute worst purchase ever on qvc. Especially because folks at q dont know he is shipping old stuff.
