AGING
My philosophy is that as we age we gain memories and find treasures in new friends….being alone is an emptiness only one who goes through it knows the feeling in depth. All family gone and time is our enemy if we let it. I am 76 years of age and I still feel as if I were 30. I keep myself up in appearance and do my best to look good (lol: the covid pounds did not help). Wow, I should include this is my next book (but I am not, lol.)
I wish everyone out there a blessed day and we all find happiness in our selves and with others, struggles are obstacles and yes it can be difficult. God bless you all

You sound like someone who takes great pride in being the best that you can be. Don’t be so hard on yourself about “covid” pounds. (Mine are not “covid” pounds. I think it might be the cheesecake … lol)! Everybody has struggles and we all feel misunderstood at times. That doesn’t mean that we are less than. It just means that we are human. Hang in there and have a wonderful week.

It is nice to meet a fellow traveler. I am 74 and my outlook is similar to yours. Today’s world is a bit frightening and it can weigh you down if you let it. It is important to hang on to the “core” of who you are no matter what. I refuse to participate in today’s hate campaigns. I try not to judge anyone. I do not care about the color of their skin, their religion, their politics, etc. I care about who they show themselves to be and I’ve met a ton of wonderful people. I want to grow up to be just like them, kind, loving, empathetic, considerate, balanced, etc. – like you!

Love how you put that…. hang on to the core of who you are. Couldn’t have said it better🩷

Out of curiosity California Gold, are you a writer? If so, that is intriguing. I am as well.
