To advance to the next level, you need to meet the Goal. In level 1 the Goal is to completely clear 1 row or column. In level 2 you need to clear 2, and so on. Focus on that. Then once you’ve met the goal, try to clear the entire board in the time remaining because then your score for that level will be doubled.

I’ve made it through level 14 and then either it freezes or the bombs won’t drag down. They pop back up as the time is running out. It is so annoying.

Same thing happened to me first few times I played this a few months ago. Now I usually get to level 10. I found that if I used most of my time spelling 3 letter words, I could advance to next level. There are millions of 3 letter words such as: hie, fie, mic, cam., chi. etc. I started just swiping some I didn’t know were actual words also. & came across some toward the end of a level game. Spelling long words (5 or more) most of the time uses up most of your time. Don’t forget about the orange squares on the left of the game. Use them at the end of a level and if you finish, you will double your score or more. Good luck! Hope this helps.
