IT'S FRIDAY NIGHT. TIME FOR TRIVIA. OCTOBER 28, 2022
To coincide with Halloween, today is NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY. Did you know today is also NATIONAL FRANKENSTEIN FRIDAY. hMM:::::never forget the “Night They Invented Champagne”…Yep, today is also NATIONAL CHAMPAGNE DAY.
The questions can be found in the Rewards Store within the Arcade. Questions begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm DST depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. So, before you tear your hair out, before you give up, just return to this thread where one or more of us will be able to help. Also, join us in light conversation, ideas or whatever and LET THE FUN BEGIN….😀😀😀🍕🍔🍟🌭🌭🍿
NOTE; Sometimes a little gremlin will pose a question that requires a number. In those instances it may not accept for example 16. It’s the correct response, but you may need to spell it out: sixteen. Other times there may be a two word answer such as: Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday may need to be written as one word: Happybirthday. There are also times when the answer is a plural even though the question seems to reflect something that isn’t. However, sometimes it is easier to check this thread for the correct response.

Maxienne, I do have a wonderful electrician and plumber. Right now there are no electrical appliances in our den. I was able to get in there when we had a skylight and all electricity had been turned off the day prior so it was easy to unplug and remove most things prior to being damaged. I never moved so fast. What I was able to remove will not be returning until the room is 100% livable and that includes our cable.

Hi pbjelly. Yes, we have a stop gap from our neighbor who owns a construction company in another State. He took a look at our roof, or rather what was left of it and was able to repair part of the damage. However, we are looking at a new structure and roof. It will be a complete overhaul and to replace the wet beams.

Hi OOdiebom,
Hope this week was better for you and your husband and Life just keeps improving from now on.-
Hi maxienne. This week is very special. A neighbor who arrived here last week stopped by and took a look at our roof and said he would try to repair it. He is in the construction business in another state and really gave us a hand. Though he doesn’t do roofs, he did a repair job that should take us over the hump until we find a firm that does structure and roofs. We do have a roofer when the time comes. Thank you for your concern.

In the Washington D.C met. area, we have a magazine called Consumers Checkbook. It’s like Consumer Reports, but for a variety of services, not goods. You get a checkmark for quality and another for prices, and hopefully, one is able to pick someone who gets them both. It’s ABS. invaluable, and I’ve got some terrific plumbers/electricians etc. from them. The Libraries here carry this mag. in the reference section. You’d be surprised at the range of prices, and what’s really surprising is that sometimes the best often beat others’ prices by 30 % or so. Ask your librarian if Florida has something like this. Good luck!

maxienne, that’s a plus. Not sure if we have something similar, but will check. That would be a great resource. I’ve also been using BBB. We have an appointment with a construction firm that does most things on Tuesday. Our neighbor will help us through this part since I don’t know too much about roofs.
