IT'S FRIDAY NIGHT, TIME FOR TRIVIA. MARCH 10,2023
In most places of the United States, sinter is still showing it’s worse side. Yet, there are some areas that have seen the robins, the daffodils and the crocus. So, it’s no wonder that we need to spring ahead. So, tomorrow night, before you turn the lights out and get some needed rest, please remember to set your clocks ahead one hour.
Questions can be found in the Rewards Store within the Arcade, And begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm DST depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. So, before you tear your hair out, before you give up, just return to this thread where one or more of us will be able to help. Also, join us in light conversation, ideas or whatever and LET THE FUN BEGIN….😀😀😀🍕🍔🍟🌭
NOTE; Sometimes a little gremlin will pose a question that requires a number. In those instances it may not accept for example 16. It’s the correct response, but you may need to spell it out: sixteen. Other times there may be a two word answer such as: Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday may need to be written as one word: Happybirthday. There are also times when the answer is a plural even though the question seems to reflect something that isn’t. However, sometimes it is easier to check this thread for the correct response.one hour.

Good evening and I hope you have had some rest. 🌹

Welcome Trivia Players. ✨🌹

I did not see hubby this evening. Had back and hip pain all day. Though it makes for a very long day for him, I will try to make it up tomorrow. Will bring a care package of fruit and maybe a sandwich with native, Florida tomatoes.
-
Hi Oodiebom, sorry you are having that hip and back pain. I know it well, my hip let’s me aware of the change of weather.
-
The hip thing is new to me. Lower back pain I’m used to. No fun. And trying to get into the van, OH MY……As a passenger, I would be OK. Oh well.
-
WOW!! 52 years – congrats.

Hi maxienne. I was going bananas on the answer. Thank you.

-
@ Oodiebom, 😄😄 Oops try to start in case you weren’t able to start. But at the very same time you were 😆😆. Tried to delete, can’t. Glad you made it. How are you ?
Good evening everyone, let’s play Trivia.
-
xango, do you remember the song “soon it’s gonna rain, I can feel it.” Well, my back and hip made it difficult to get into the van to drive to rehab. I through the towel in at 5pm and notified the front desk people that I will be there tomorrow. Will try to make it to the Farmer’s Market for fruit and veggies. Since they make their own bread, will pick that up as well.
-
I know hip and back pain well. It’s impossible to do things when it happens. When hubby was in the hospital and I had to get the house ready for family coming down I had to be on Motrin a few times to sleep without pain.
-
I still work, just takes a longer amount of time. I tried Excedrin. Didn’t work. Rested for awhile and then went back to KP duties.
-
Do you remember the talk show host Jenny Jones?? Well, she has a number of recipes on YouTube called Jenny can cook. She has a recipe for crusty bread, that requires about FIVE (yep!)
minutes of hands-on work. You must have a cast iron or really heavy pot with a cover for it to work properly. It’s surprisingly good, and when I first saw this recipe, I thought it was a mistake. Try it. I have it on my WhatsApp, but am too computer illiterate to transfer it. -
I can smell your wonderful bread so knock, knock. 😎✨🌹
-
Hi Sheba, this time it turn out real good. I try different recipes, there so many on YouTube. I have a Bake With Julia big book, there’s a potato and Rosemary bread recipe. It makes great sandwiches and good with soup.
-
xango, you are making me very hungry. I had soup with veggies and wontons. Came out good. Hmm…..Think I will look for some Thermos bottles and if I find them, will make the soup for hubby. His room gets quite cold because of the A/C. I already mentioned it to the nurses and the receptionist. Hope they can turn it up some.
-
Baking with Julia is my all time favorite baking cookbook. The Danish is fantastic, better than ANY bakery product. Easy too, esp. if you make the fillings (which keep for a while) in advance.
Here’s my money saving tip: Goodwillbooks.com is a subsidiary of Goodwill Industries, and they have a gazillion books there. No shipping charges. I had bought my Julia book years ago when it first came out ( at full price) and also watched her shows on PBS, but now, whenever I see it is available, I buy them and give them away to new bakers.
-
@maxienne, thanks for the tip. I will look into them, I bet I’ll find something good.
-
-
hi all. glad you’re with us. sorry about the aches n pains. know the feeling
-
Glad I’m not the only one. We are getting a brief cold front tonight and a more powerful one Monday. Temps will not go down that much. It’s been in the mid 80’s and will remain that way through the weekend. Monday through Thursday we will be in the 70s during the day and 50s at night. I guess our weather will head towards the Northeast starting Monday night or so and become a huge storm as it connects with the one in the West. I surmise the snow plows will come out for the very first time for the season.
-
Anyone heard from Sanibelsheller?
-
I’m here tonight, but still a little under the weather.
-
Hi Sanibel. Don’t tell me that you got that virus I had. And, I thought it was because you had no electricity due to the storms.
-
I’m not sure what it was. However, I have a lot of joint and muscle ache/pain. I thought it wear off, but it seems worse.
-
No, not what I had. It could have been Covid for the second time. Was just too weak to go out and didn’t dare ask someone to drive me to a Walk-In in case it was. I’m just getting my energy back now. So sorry to hear you lost your furbaby. I hope someday you will love another one. They are the best company.
-
Thank you.
-
Hi there, glad to see you. How under the weather are you? Are getting better?
-
Hope you feel better soon.

Oodiebom, I found the channel on YouTube you may like. There’s lots of recipes I think you will enjoy. https://youtube.com/watch?v=CC1VI3hdcQc&feature=share
-
Funny, xango, I know some of those recipes. I really need to get to the market. I’ve put it off too long. I’m sure it’s something hubby would like to do also.

This is from all on Oodiebom’s Trivia Thread. Get well soon. ✨✨

Pea
-
Hi Barbo and thanx for the answer. You would think that with seeds being plural, so would the word peas. Go figure….😀😀😀
-
Exactly what I thought. I found both potatoes and Peas. Neither worked. I guess the person in charge of the answers did not get As in English. 😁
-
Yep, exactly what I was thinking.
-
-
Yes -that’s what I first thought! 😂😂
