IT'S FRIDAY. ALMOST TIME FOR TRIVIA. JUNE 2ND, 2023
March went out like a lion
A whippin’ up the water in the bay
Then April cried and stepped aside
And along come pretty little May!
May was full of promises
But she didn’t keep ’em quickly enough for some
And a crowd of doubtin’ Thomases
Was predictin’ that the summer’d never come
But it’s comin, by gum
We can feel it come
You can feel it in your heart
You can see it in the ground
You can see it in the trees
You can smell it in the breeze
Look around! Look around! Look around!
June is bustin’ out all over
All over the meadow and the hill
Buds’re bustin’ outa bushes
And the rompin’ river pushes
Ev’ry little wheel that wheels beside the mill
June is bustin’ out all over
The feelin’ is gettin’ so intense
That the young Virginia creepers
Have been huggin’ the bejeepers
Outta all the mornin’ glories on the fence!
Because it’s June!
June, June, June
Just because it’s June, June, June!
Fresh and alive and and young
June is a love song, sweetly song
June is bustin’ out all over!
The saplin’s are bustin’ out with sap!
Love has found my brother, Junior
And my sister’s even loonier!
And my Ma is gettin’ kittenish with Pap!
June is bustin’ out all over
To ladies the men are payin’ court
Lotsa ships are kept at anchor
Just because the captains hanker
For the comfort they can only get in port!
Because it’s June!
June, June, June
Just because it’s June, June, June!
June makes the bay look bright and blue
Sails gleaming white on sunlit booms
June is bustin’ out all over
The ocean is full of Jacks and Jills
With her little tail a-swishin’
Ev’ry lady fish is wishin’
That a male would come
And grab ‘er by the gills!
June is bustin’ out all over!
The sheep aren’t sheepish anymore!
All the rams that chase the ewe sheep
Are determined there’ll be new sheep
And the ewe-sheep aren’t even keepin’ score!
On account-a it’s June! June, June, June
Just because it’s June, June, June!
RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN, “CAROUSEL’
Sorry, I just couldn’t help myself. So many great things occur this month. Weddings and Barbecues top the list. Flag Dag, June 14th and don’t forget your Dad’s on June 19th.
For a bit of Trivia. Today, June 2nd: Rocky Road Day, National Donut Day, Leave the Office Early Day, American Indian Citizenship Day
HOW TO PLAY HSN’S TRIVIA: Questions can be found in the Rewards Store within the Arcade, And begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm DST depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. So, before you tear your hair out, before you give up, just return to this thread where one or more of us will be able to help. Also, join us in light conversation, ideas or whatever and LET THE FUN BEGIN….
NOTE; Sometimes a little gremlin will pose a question that requires a number. In those instances it may not accept for example 16. It’s the correct response, but you may need to spell it out: sixteen. Other times there may be a two word answer such as: Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday may need to be written as one word: HappyBirthday. There are also times when the answer is a plural even though the question seems to reflect something that isn’t. However, sometimes it is easier to check this thread for the correct response.

Sanibel, Revere Beach in my college days, place where a bunch of us got together to study for finals. Nothing like enjoying the ocean and then cracking the books and our notes.
-
Sounds like fun.
I was on the roof of the nursing dorm in Duluth, MN Studying the cats from our UMD anatomy class for our final. Ohh if I never smell that again it will be wonderful.

You made me think of my Nursing School days, but cats I couldn’t deal with but fetal pigs were on the table

Odiebom,
Sounds like your hubby is feeling better, but will he get to come home soon?-
Pbjelly, to answer your question< I just do not know. Hubby was scheduled for a procedure that the urologist needed to see if we can get the catheter out. Unfortunately when they did an uranalysis, they found he had an infection. Not only that, the catheter was dirty and they asked me if I knew when it was changed last. I did not know and when I arrived at rehab, the head nurse was not in that day. I finally had an opportunity to talk with him this evening. Still waiting to hear on the antibiotic and to get that started. The next step is to try to get him to walk again and that is also a big issue. At the same time I am trying to find an attorney with the knowledge of senior law since this rehab center has been causing some issues. This is not so easy.
-
Thank you, Odiebom, for answering me. I’m so sorry both of you are having to go through all this. It must be awful for him still having a catheter in. I would think that is very uncomfortable. Apparently, they don’t watch him good and keep it clean. I think a lawyer is a good idea. I know you both must be very discouraged about all this. Hope you rest tonight and sincerely hope things get better for both of you. Prayers for both of you.
