Hi and a good evening to you xango. I just read the memo from the Governor. I think you may be OK. Orlando area is not on the hot list as yet. We are trying to decide if we will stay put or go further North. Then again, things can change. Looks like the Florida Gulf Coast could get a direct hit if the computer path is correct.

Sheba, I am watching the tropics very carefully. The computer models show that the Gulf Coast of Florida will get a direct hit. We just do not know if it will be Naples or further down the line. However, right now the Gulf Coast is bracing for loads of rain, high winds, possible tornadoes, etc.. Probably will have more info tomorrow or Monday. The storm could hit here beginning late Tuesday night or early Wednesday. Hubby and I were thinking we would go further South, but that is out of the question. We need awaycation, so not sure if we will stay or head North. Right now there are tons of questions. Like size. That could determine whether or not it will reach the East Coast (Miami, Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Key West, etc..).

@Sheba. Right now, the storm is only a number with wind speed at 30-35 mph. It could become a category 1 hurricane tomorrow. The water temperature is over 90 degrees. Perfect for this thing to become stronger. Oh yes, no wind sheer.

Oodiebom, 🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴 We are keeping an eye on the storm. As you mentioned we are not sure where it’s going to fall yet. And we live a slight bit closer to Tampa the Orlando, kind of in between both.

May take a ride towards Kissimmee or Orlando if the storm doesn’t go that way. Traffic may be a bummer. But would rather be safe than sorry.

Yes, I do keep up on the personal posts & try to look at all the photos & gifs you post. I’m so sorry about your mother & other family members getting covid, even though they were all vaccinated. Everyone that I knew personally that got covid was also vaccinated & boosted 3 & 4 times – even my sister who did not survive.😢😭
I’m so sorry about George the dog. I had 10 rescued cats that have all passed now. My first rescue was a Tortie in 1999, & she made it to 20 years of age.🐱😽🐈

DEFG, I think I mentioned on another thread that it seems those that received the booster and then some have caught Covid. That was one of the reasons why I didn’t ask for the booster. However, I did ask for the newer one and the pharmacist turned me away for now due to sinuses and a cough. Mentioned to try when the allergy season is over.

I think this is our first time in Florida with a hurricane. There was one that hit us a few years ago and I lost a few pieces of our siding. We arrived too late to use FEMA, so ended up doing it with some help from a few friends.
