Hi @oodiebom, I hope you are feeling better.
-
Hi Sanibel. Thank you for asking. Feeling much better except for a slight cough.
-
There is something going around here. My Physical Therapist called and cancelled, because his son was sick. Then my Dr called and cancelled too, due to a sick child.
-
@sanibelshelter
And I thought it was all sinuses YUK………:(
-
Good evening everyone! Sanibel, what state do you live in? Just wondering if flu season is starting.
-
@gabbie808
Good evening Gabbie and welcome.
-
Yikes! I hope not!
I asked my company this week about flu vouchers for Walmart (we can only get them for free from Walmart or our doctor. My doctor is always out of them) and the response was they won’t be available until October 1st.
It never fails, ever, that by time they post it, people are already getting sick from colds, etc. It never fails.

I am finding that the Manuka honey in tea has really helped. That stuff is real expensive, but has a great punch.
-
I’ve never heard of Manuka honey.
-
@Sanibel
I never did either. I happened to be at Homegoods last year and saw it on the shelf. It is from New Zealand. A salesperson came over and happened to see me reading the label. She mentioned that it had medicinal elements and helped with the cold and flu. That small jar was over $20, but decided to purchase it. That was in Florida and I left it there. Then when we returned to the North, found a bottle at Trader Joe’s and purchased it. Last week I tried regular honey and tea for the sore throat. Next day I went scrounging in the spice cabinet and found the jar Within 24 hours that sore throat was gone. And now, it is working on the cough. Great stuff. That other jar of honey never touched the sore throat and it did get worse during the night.

Hubby and I have been taking Andrew Lessmans Immune Factors, Essential one vitamins and Ultimate Friendly Flora after a meal and, knock on wood, have not gotten the flu or even a cold in several years. Pricey, yea, but what price do you put on good health? Hope it keeps working for us, we are both elderly and have other health issues. Give it a try!!!
-
Thank you! I would have never known! Have a great evening 😀

Hello all!
Got out of the business early (to make a couple of deliveries), went to the grocery store and got home before 5 (my zone)…how thrilling!
Just say’n…Mally and RuPaul are on the Q now. I was hoping he was going to dress! 😄
-
Good Evening pipman. Enjoy the Q
-
LOL
Switching between the Q and Philly/Cleveland game. Then at 6P is Utah here at USC. At least there can be mindless sports blathering in the background.

@oodiebom, where do you get manuka honey? Do you get organic?
-
@Sanibelshelter
You can find Manuka Honey at Homegoods in their food section, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Amazon, probably Walmart and Target. I found lozenges at Amazon and ordered them. People in their reviews mentioned the expense, but, it really works. You use less than a third of a tsp added to your tea. From what I can tell in reading the labels, they are organic and made from the flowers in New Zealand.

Thx!
