IF IT’S FRIDAY NIGHT……….THEN IT’S TIME FOR TRIVIA………. 🙂 AND, IT’S THE BEGINNING OF COLUMBUS WEEKEND WITH SALES SALES, AND MORE SALES…… 🙂
Hope you are all ready for some fun. For the newcomers, the questions can be found in the Rewards Store within the Arcade. Questions begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm EST. depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. So, before you tear your hair out, before you give up, just return to this thread where one or more of us will be able to help. Also, join us in light conversation, ideas or whatever and LET THE FUN BEGIN…. 🙂

Well, another Trivia night has come and gone. I said at the beginning that there will be sales all weekend long and beyond. Game night just seems to start and then before you know it, it’s over. Sometimes I wish they would either make it longer or offer another night or two. I think it is one of the better games. It sure gets you to think.

I also miss the deli’s in NYC. One of my favorites was the Stage Door. Miss their corned beef and sauerkraut. Used to eat a quarter of it and take the rest home. And the pickles…….Need I say more????

I grew up in southwestern CT. I miss being able to hop on the train and get 1/2 price tickets to a show. any show! and we’d usually do a deli before a matinee. i miss those reubens, too!
And I miss hard rolls. And crumb cake. Just CANNOT get them in VA. Bakery stuff is just not the same.

Laurie_L I grew up near the Hartford area and still live in Ct. today. Funny, I used to love Ct. until they raised the taxes. I do not think there is anything left there that isn’t a tax and that now includes all food items, prescription drugs and vitamins.

I grew up in Stratford and lived in Milford before moving to Richmond, VA. I know what you mean about taxes! I moved in 1992. I paid $1300+ in property taxes on my 1BR condo. Bought a 3br/2.5b house in the burbs of Richmond.. Taxes then were $1400. My tax bill NOW is $2600. My parents are still in Stratford. A house 1/2 the size of mine and their tax bill is double mine.

Laurie, it used to be that we made fun of the taxes in Ma.. I now have a home there as well and the taxes are quite less and the food prices are low. However, Florida beckoned us because of the winter being cold and snowy. Love Florida. This is our first summer here because we were too frightened to return North.
