The Browns are coming back to town;
The Greens are moving away.
‘Twill make a striking difference
In our neighhorhood they say;
For the Greens are jolly, cheery folk,
The Browns are rather sad,
A dull and sombre family,
While the Greens are always glad.
I’m very fond of all the Greens,
From little Greens to big;
I like to see them dancing by
As merry as a grig.
And yet I think I’m going to like
The Browns’s sober style;
After the riot of the Greens
‘Twill rest us for a while.
And I’ve a notion that some week
Of windy, frosty nights,
The Browns in turn will go away,
And in will move the Whites!

Questions begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm EST. depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. Velve, I just mentioned you were MIA. Glad you are here. On the other hand not happy that you have a backache. I hate to say this, but join the club. Hubby and I were supposed to go marketing today. He was fine while in bed, Got up, been in bed on and off all day. Guess you’re getting a change in weather also. Did you try Excedrin or anything to alleviate some of the discomfort?

Thanks Oddie, I have a fairly serious chronic back issue which cannot really be surgically corrected. It’s not something simple or cut and dry like a disc problem or arthritis. I get 15-18 injections into my spine every three weeks. I have pain meds abd will takw a pill around 10 tonight When it gets this severe it starts causing a non stop searing pain in my hip. I get injections next Thursday and am also scheduled for an epidural the following Tuesday. The good news is I will be blissful numb those 2 evenings!

Hello, all! Nice poem, Oodiebom; I am glad that fall is here, even though October is 90 plus degrees so far. October is always hotter than June in Southern California. I love the dinosaur, fbn, they are some of my favorite things! 🙂

We are on the cool side of things in Florida. Today was mostly cloudy. Tomorrow through Monday rain and humidity are in the forecast. Looks like this storm could become a tropical one and maybe a hurricane as well. Looks like it may head towards Mexico and Texas.
Glad you enjoyed the poem. Next week our temps will be in triple digits. We enjoyed the cool temps in the 80s and mid 60s to low 70s in the evening. Guess we sort of got a taste of what’s coming down the pike.

Hello to all gamers…..
Regarding trivia tonight…first question… I have to say I dont agree with the correct answer…..pumpkins are squashes which are vegetables…..but “fruit” is the correct answer.
I could be wrong, but last time I checked, pumpkins are in the squash/goard family which are vegetables. Oh well, go with fruit for 200 pts.-
Good evening redginger. I agree with you. Someone upstairs thought it was a fruit. You can eat fruit right off the tree, but you do have to cook a pumpkin. Veggie……. 🙂

OODIEBOM, cooler in the mornings, in the 60’s then climbs to the 80’s. Looks like we will be getting some rain for the coming days. But, we have been getting Afternoon showers.

We are missing a few again this week. Sami, pipman, sanibelshelter, mskatz, velvet, melch, pookie, and a few others. I know Sam is watching over her grandchildren while her daughter is recovering from spinal surgery. Just hope everything is all right. Pipman may be out for a jaunt or making a super dinner. Hope and pray that he is away from the fires. Sanibel has been missing for at least three weeks. Just hope she is OK.

The first moon in October is actually called the Harvest Moon. Not the Hunters Moon. The Hunters moon is actually in the first of November. Just so the people writing these trivia questions know.
