Good evening pipman. I was thinking about your friend the other day. Anyway that she can get out for an hour or so, even in a wheelchair??? If so, maybe a ride to the beach or even to a scenic view may help to lift her spirits. Definitely see if a nurse or an aide is available to help you as well.

Wonder if the Dollar Tree will soon be a Two Dollar Tree……..

I feel like I am finally turning a corner with my back recovery. On top of all my other back problems I factured my spine in the lumbar region 3 months ago. Yep I have a birthday next month!

Good for you sweetie! I have seven bulging herniated discs with fusion. I know your pain. The bone infection nearly killed me, the pain was so bad I couldn’t move, hard to breathe even.

Good Evening how is your husband? i am glad to see you.

Hi Sheba he had open heart surgery right after Mother’s Day and replaced the aortic valve.
On his birthday 6/5 He had a second surgery. Removed 90 % of his small and large intestine. He needs a transplant. All due to blood clots and infection. He had a blood clot in the valve and in the large intestine. He was almost septic. He would have died quickly without surgery. I’m just beside myself.

Good evening Sam. Last week at this time your husband was getting ready for some tests. Is he OK?

Sam, so sorry to hear that. Nothing like making decisions that can go either way. Wish I could be there with you, but know both my hands are giving you the biggest hug. I have been through this with my mom. The doctors wanted her off all life support but, she was talking to me a few minutes before. She came out of it all right no matter what the doctors said. I hope and wish the same for your husband.

Yes, some doctors have no bedside manner and some are just looking for money.
What happened to their oath? Help no matter what?! Right?!

Sam, there are so many in roads, so much technology, I pray and hope that everything turns better for you and hubby. You really should not be alone at a time like this.

I’m now non-practicing RN. There are many great ones, but there are few that aren’t real patient/family friendly.

I agree with you Sanibel. Some doctors have no beside manner whatsoever. They may be smart with the textbooks, but that is only part of it. I just wish Sam wasn’t alone at a time like this. I really feel for her and this is a time when friends are truly needed.

I’m alone too. No family near me. I feel for you Sam. Life is much more difficult when you are alone.

I agree and he is no longer in that hospital or with that doctor. No one in my family liked him. Hubby has a great surgeon now and much better hospital. Thank goodness! Oh sanibel, my daughter lives in Minnesota woop woop! Love Minnesota!
