FRIDAY NIGHT TRIVIA, GIFS, CONVERSATION, JOKES June 18, 2021
Good Evening. I know some of us are now facing high temperatures with triple digits. Many with high humidity as well. Last year, during the pandemic, I remained in Florida for the first time during the summer. Being from the Northeast, we love the cold. So our temps would be in the low to mid 60s during the day and stay the same or go lower at night. Little did I realize we could not do this in Florida. Electricity during the summer and into the fall months are extremely high. Most people here have A/C throughout their home. Well, keeping the air in what I like or rather was used to would not work in Florida. So, to offset electrical bills that would be over $200++/mo., I raised the temp to 78 during the day and brought it down to 75 at night. Believe it or not, the house has felt cool all this time. I also use the overhead fans during the day when necessary to circulate the air which uses less electricity than A/C. My electric bill was only two figures and no where near $100. Just saying you may want to try it. Now, I know you are ready for game night.
I Hope you are ready for some fun. For the newcomers, the questions can be found in the Rewards Store within the Arcade. Questions begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm EST. depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. So, before you tear your hair out, before you give up, just return to this thread where one or more of us will be able to help. Also, join us in light conversation, ideas or whatever and LET THE FUN BEGIN…. 🙂💖

This reminds me of a little road trip I took with my dog, just slowly driving thru neighborhoods. I was on a curvy road wrapped around a little pond and in the middle of the road was a little turtle. Must have been returning to the pond, after laying eggs. I stopped & got out to watch or if she stopped, pick her up and move her to safety. There was a man working in his yard and he started coming towards me and looked puzzled. I pointed at the turtle and he laughed. We both just stood and watched. Put a smile on two strangers faces just by enjoying nature.

I enjoyed the story as well.

Good Evening Oodiebom and all the Trivia Players. 😎

Love the gif. Reminds me of the short video I watched yesterday. Speaking of short videos, there is a cute one on “You Tube.” Watch the one where the dog thinks he is Einstein. It’s really cute.

Good evening, trivia players.
We are back with a bang tonight, Baseball. Oh well.
-
Hey Sanibel, at least the gang is starting out. Nice to be together. Would be a nice surprise if we are up and running the way we should be next week and that also goes for all the games in the Arcade.

Good Evening RosaTowwn. I hope you are feeling cool in Ca.. and you are OK.

Feeling cool so far, with a nice breeze not too far from the coast, whereas inland, the temps jump up towards the 90’s. I got my first Moderna shot last night–finally–and feeling pretty good so far. My brother got his J&J last Friday and it went well for him, with only a couple of days feeling “sluggish”. I went to the pharmacy on the corner near my house with an appointment, but it wasn’t needed. I was the only one there for the shot.
-
Lucky you! It was 110 here yesterday and currently 105 ( at 6:37 pm… Sacramento. Grrr. Way too hot.

Oh, uggh! I feel for you guys! This state has so many different weather zones. In the greater Los Angeles area, (I am in Northwest Orange County, almost in LA county) our weather forecasters present five or six different zones for weather, including mountains, desert and beaches.

Ladybug22 welcome to Trivia. So far Florida has not reached the triple digits, though, with the humidity it’s probably way over 100. Please stay hydrated.

Amazing being the only one…..I hope they gave you the card with the date for the second dose.
I had a few kinks the first 48 hours. My husband was fine. By the way we did take out for the first time in a year and a half. It was fun. Best part I didn’t need to cook or question what to make for dinner. Think I want to do it again. -
Yes, I got the card and the appointment for the 2nd on July 15. I knew the vaccine would become easily accessible at our local pharmacy if I just waited a bit. Without a car these days, I was staying at home anyway. At this point, you can pretty much choose which vaccine, day, time and place. This is my birthday month and I promised myself I would get it done by then–missed by several days–officially, I turned 70 on Monday the 14th.
Congratulations on your “out for dinner” date. Funny to realize, only 2 summers ago we would have laughed at the thought of celebrating getting take-out, and all the other little things we get to do in recent days. Our patience is now paying off. When do you plan to go back up North? -
We leave a week from Sunday. Will really miss Florida, but we do need to put one house on the market. Hope to be out of there by the end of August or by Labor Day.
