FRIDAY NIGHT TRIVIA, APRIL 2, 2021
An elderly man in Phoenix calls his son in New York and says, “I hate to ruin your day, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are divorcing; forty-five years of misery is enough.”
“Pop, what are you talking about,” the son screams.
“We can’t stand the sight of each other any longer,” the old man says.
“We’re sick and tired of each other, and I’m sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Chicago and tell her.” And he hangs up.
Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone.
“Like Heck they’re getting a divorce, she shouts. I’ll take care of this.”
She calls Phoenix immediately, and screams at the old man,
“You are NOT getting divorced! Don’t do a single thing until I get there. I’m calling my brother back and we’ll both be there tomorrow. Until then don’t do a thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?” And she hangs up.
The old man hangs up his phone, smiles and turns to his wife.
“They’re coming for Easter and paying their own way.”

It’s nearing that 8:00 pm hour. Hmm.. it’s Friday night…… Time for Trivia
Hope you are all ready for some fun. For the newcomers, the questions can be found in the Rewards Store within the Arcade. Questions begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm EST. depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. So, before you tear your hair out, before you give up, just return to this thread where one or more of us will be able to help. Also, join us in light conversation, ideas or whatever and LET THE FUN BEGIN…. 🙂💖

Good evening all. I’m a little late, but it would seem I haven’t missed points.

If you all remember, the games in the Arcade were not working for a long time. People were up in arms. Again therev was no communication. Then one day one game began to work and then soon others followed. My gut feeling is losing the Arcade would or could mean no customer base. People love to shop and play at the same time. I do not think HSN wishes this to happen.

Hay fbn135, not everything. We are pretty good here in our Trivia event having some needed and good conversations. Today I went for my vaccine shot, got the Johnson & Johnson. It’s been very windy but sunny. It’s a very chilly night here in Florida.

Xango, I got the J & J. I had a reaction for a day or 2, but now I am fine. I felt fatigued and had a raised temperature. Then I went back to normal with just a tender arm where I got the shot. I am happy I got it and every time I go to a doctor appointment now I brag that I got vaccinated.

AmandaOhio, welcome to the Trivia thread. Hubby has an appointment next Saturday. I’m still waiting for the appointment. Glad you received yours. We will be getting the two vaccines. I think there will be another booster within six months.

Nobody Home. I don’t think the “Tech Team” is even in this Country. Probably located in India, which would explain the lack of spaces between words. I did get 200 points tonight though for the baseball answer.😊

Hi pookie. I have a feeling that most are working from home. This could change after most are able to obtain the vaccine. Have some patience. I know it’s hard because of the pandemic and everything that goes with it.

My feeling is that they do not know what is causing the problems. The Tech Unit has been besieged with one thing after another. My problem, like yours, is that the customer service people (the 800 numbers) and the Mods can only do so much. And yes, they get back to us. The Tech Unit on the other hand may be doing what they can, but not getting back to us one way or the other, in my opinion, is absolutely wrong and indecent when so many of us have been complaining for the last month. Being in retail most of my life has taught me to be customer friendly and if I wasn’t I would have been fired. Responsibility and owning up and telling it like it is would be ever so helpful and would give us a better idea of the happenings behind the scenes. We may not understand all the gibberish, but, at least, there would be something communicated.

Exactly, they should be up front and let us know what is happening. I play the games at different times of the day and when I see something I could use, I order it. Not fixing “trivia” is just not right when so many enjoy playing.

There used to be (pre-pandemic) a Candyland store in downtown Minneapolis that sold rock candy along with other treats. They also had the premium popcorn, al flavors. Gosh I hadn’t thought about them in a long time.

I am sorry OODIEBOM but I am not going to be so nice. I am convinced HSN doesn’t want us to play Trivia anymore. It looks like to me they want to discourage us from playing by doing this. It’s hard to believe that jo one is paying attention to what’s going on. That no one is managing the site on Friday night Trivia.

Hi diablo1. I wouldn’t give up just yet. As long as there is a question, Trivia is still there, even though it’s like a broken record. Though I am a bit disheartened, I believe in patience. I think the Tech unit is really trying. Just a bit hampered at the moment.

Same baseball question. Good to chat with everyone in here though. I remember the “good old days” of packing a picnic basket, taking my young sons to an almost empty stadium in the early afternoon and enjoying the baseball game with them. Little did I realize it then that those would be some of the greatest memories! Oodiebom, hubby and I got the first Corona shot on Tuesday. Have you been able to get yours yet? Our arms were a little sore and are feeling a little tired since but it could be the weather too. 71 degrees a few days ago and 5 inches of snow yesterday. But it is April and the trees have buds on them!

Gabbie, hubby received an appointment for the 10th. I haven’t received anything yet. However, even if I don’t, I will be going with him, so maybe I’ll get it at the same time.

I registered the both of us on different sites. I called Drug Mart and talked to a pharmacist to see when we would be notified and they had openings for appointments which we took. If it is a drug store your husband is scheduled at, give them a call and see if you could also be put on the schedule with him.

They have had many weeks to fix the problem…I guess they don’t care! It’s sad, because so many of us enjoy the trivia game!
