FRIDAY NIGHT TRIVIA, APRIL 17, 2020
It’s Friday Night……TIME FOR TRIVIA. Good Evening Everyone. Hope you are all ready for some fun. For the newcomers, the questions can be found in the Rewards Store within the Arcade. Questions begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm EST. depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. So, before you tear your hair out, before you give up, just return to this thread where one or more of us will be able to help. Also, join us in light conversation, ideas or whatever and LET THE FUN BEGIN….:) (Please note: I have asked for double or triple tickets for the game this month because it’s Customer Appreciation time. Thus far there has been no response. But you never know. Maybe some of the questions will give us more than 200 tickets).

@pipman Did you make the Cajun version or the plain? I made the Cajun 15 bean soup earlier this week with both hot and sweet Italian sausage.
-
Velvet Uhhhh, I’m not sure! It’s sort of a mishmash of several recipes. I did toss the seasoning packet away… It’s got the beans, onion, celery, carrot, red bell pepper, garlic cloves, chicken broth & water and 2 of the sausages. Seasonings bay leaves, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika and Mrs. Dash Chipolte. Once it’s done I’ll add a can of diced tomatoes and fresh spinach.
If anything, Sriracha will make it great!
-
I put in everything you do except chicken broth and I use lots ot diced tomatoes too. I use sbot 2 lbs of susage that i cook separately, slice yhen add once the other ingredients are simmeting. The Cajun seasoning packet is AWESOME. It sounds like you got the regular, the Cajun version has gotten harder to find the last 2 years. It says Cajun on the bag. I love that soup. I make it very thick kinda between a soup and a stew.
-
Hi Velve. I just wrote that you are missed. Now you know…..Guess the smell of something cooking brings all of us out of the woodwork
-
OODIEBOM LOL! I just went out to the kitchen to see how to spell Chipolte and…it smells really good out there!
-

OK! Soup is in…takes 50 minutes under pressure and then natural release. It’s gonna be a while but I’m used to eating late. 😁
I am officially on leave of absence! Started Tuesday (scheduling removed all my remaining flying for April) and goes until June 30th. I don’t think much will change and should be able to extend it. What a stress relief to not be in an aircraft!

Pipman, today I checked out hotels/motels between Florida and to our home on the Cape. No way we can get from here to there. Some of the hotels/motels are not accepting reservations. Those that do are not offering coffee, tea, juice, or breakfast. No restaurants opened for delivery. We may stay and return next spring. That’s OK by me.
-
OODIBOM Wow… but not surprising. How the heck can rooms be possibly cleaned and sanitized?! I can’t imagine staying in any hotel, anyplace. And turning on the a/c or even heat…what would that blow around? Ewh!
-
That’s how I got the virus in the first place.
-
OODIEBOM I am just staying sequestered until there is a vaccine!

Sam, for me too. I kept returning to the thread to see if anyone got the correct answer. Finally I hit the “nail” on the cookie jar.

Good evening all. I hope everyone is in good health and staying safe. Our grand daughter was born a week ago and doing fine. I was very concerned because the virus is rampant in our county. All went well and we saw her for a few moments in her car seat with windows rolled up. She is beautiful, very tiny and has lots of hair! We can’t wait to hold her, but that will have to wait for awhile. Easter was not the same with no one here but I cooked like everyone was here! Sent lots of food to my son and his wife who had the baby! The others cooked their own dinner. I hope this pandemic is over soon! Playing these games help take my mind off all that is going on!
-
Hi Gabbie608..so very happy to hear about your gdaughter’s healthy birth.Everyone can rest a lil easier now,I know our prayers were answered.Enjoy the lil one, safely when you can.God Bless all gma👶
-
Congratulations on the new baby! It’s nice that you are near enough to see her and share your Easter feast with them.
-
Thanks to all of you! This is the first baby girl in our family. We have 4 sons and 4 grandsons. I had so much fun shopping for baby girl clothes, on line of course! I bought sizes 3 months to 2 toddler!!! She will be set on clothing for awhile! LOL!!!
-
God Bless to you and your family. Enjoy the precious newborn when it is safe. 🌹
-
Congratulations on your new granddaughter! 🎈
-
Gabbie, thanks so much for giving us an update. I was really concerned with the pandemic raging all over. Sounds like the new parents are OK. But, now, sleepless nights. One tends to forget how delicate the newborns are and how small they seem to be in their cribs and car seats. They grow too fast. Enjoy each and every day because they grow up too soon. Congratulations grandma/nanna 🙂

I heard on radio doctors said vaccine should be available in 12-18 months.

Also, Sanibel, I just read that there is medication that seems to help patients get off the respirators. I surmise they have an idea why this virus seems to attack the lungs. I think it has something to do with the immune system.
-
That maybe why people who leave the hospital, are being readmitted a week later sick again. Immunity doesn’t last
-
Or, Sanibel, they are trying to do to much too soon. I know that every so often my energy level was up there and I could work all day. The next day I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow. It’s the way this virus works. One has to limit the activity in order to feel better for longer periods of time. Also, the fever does take a long time to leave the system. I ran one between 100.4 and 101.7. Yet, I didn’t feel feverish or sick. Just extremely tired. My husband thought the thermometer was incorrect. But it turned out not to be the case.
-
Congratulations on your new Granddaughter. I’m so grateful she is perfect!
-
Thank you Tracie

Well this question is annoying

Hello!
Quick hello… I want to get the Instant Pot going. Using the Hurst’s 15 Bean mix with veggies and mild Italian sausage.
Trader Jose’s Light beer is tonight’s beverage of choice. 🍺 And it’s Charmed night!
-
Sounds yummy. Good idea on the Instant Pot. It will be done in no time. I still haven’t used ours.
