Arcade
Does anyone know the purpose of the NEW arcade? Do you just play for the sake of playong? No points to accrue and no prizes to win?

I don’t play anymore

Pretty much what you said, Negotiator. Well, there are “experience points” for most of the games, and when you get enough you “level up. ” Wow.
You also earn “coins” which you can redeem for a different avatar. Wow.
No prizes. No overall leaderboard. Lots of ads.

I don’t play much at all anymore. Not interested in avatars or worthless coins. The fun was having the possibility of winning something – even if it was a small thing that introduced you to a new product, and the fact that you didn’t win a prize very often. That said, over the many years I did win a couple of times so it was well worth coming to the site to play each day. That was what kept us coming back to the site every night. Now it is not necessary to visit the site every day – I just come to the site if I need something to order it. I do buy less because I do not see the videos of products they are selling each day which I watched as I was playing the games. Maybe that is for the best. If you don’t see it – you don’t buy it so it saves me money,LOL!

They should go back to the old arcade.

Never won anything after 15 years and well over a million points bid on items, but at least felt like it could happen someday. Now just play to play and will likely stop as it’s not the same motivation.

I agree the fun was having the possibility of winning something – even if it was a small thing. I only won once, something you baked bread in but it was fun winning. I can’t imagine that cost them barely anything for the prizes they offered so a very short sighted move. Now nothing but watching the same ad which repeated while you wait to start. I hate some of them as they are so loud like a car racing and I have rip off my headset. I also have bought stuff that came up on the live part of the scene that I would not have bought. move the changes they made.

It glitches more than I can play.

I just have to vent. The repeated ads in just one game alone is a real turnoff. I feel this is a hsn move but makes one want to completely ignore the ads the new games don’t offer anything but grief and frustration. Makes one want to just stay off the website for one’s sanity. I’m very disappointed as I have shopped since the 80’s. 😔

I play the games because it is good for your brain-nothing else……

I just got a link wanting me to buy gems to get a higher score!! Who would waste money paying for imaginary gems just to pay to boost score$$$
-
I saw that too today, is that a scam? Ridiculous! I just play for fun

It appears that urging you to buy the extras may be in the Arkadium games. ( I could be wrong) I will no longer play any Arcadian games. It’s bad enough with all the ads.
My theory on the prizes you used to win was that possibly there weren’t many people submitting points & that the same people over & over were winning all the prizes & they didn’t want to send the winnings to the same people. Then again it was probably a business move.

I don’t have any answers. Just about everything we used to do to earn something is gone or is going away. I don’t even play anymore and it saves me money because I don’t see that little screen in the right hand corner.

I no longer play in the Arcade and that is because of the viruses my computer ensued. Some of the games were fun and totally relaxed me at the end of a busy day I miss competing with others who played the same venue. As far as prizes goes, I tried for the items I could use and did win once in all those years that they had it. However, when the prizes started to look like a bargain basement I stopped. It seems it was inevitable that HSN would do away with something that people enjoyed. I surmise, in some respect, that those ads ;enable the customer to play for free. Hmm….other sites do not have things that block the process.

There are no prizes anymore and not much incentive to play and so after trying the new arcade for about a week I totally stopped playing. The ads are annoying and I have found another free site to play on which only has one quick ad after a full game with nothing distracting while playing the game. Actually it works out well for me because I seem to be buying and spending less, I am no longer watching every night so I’m not being enticed by what is going on at HSN by the little box that showed the products as I was online playing the games. .I enjoyed playing the games each night while watching HSN TV on the screen and have been lucky and won a couple of times over the years. I had a feeling the HSN theme “It’s Fun Here” would end when HSN was acquired by the owners of QVC. No problem though, I did have fun, but all good things come to end. Although I will buy less I will still buy a few things I feel I need – mostly Andrew Lessman vitamins which are basics for me, but I don’t have to watch any shows to replace vitamins – I can just go online when I need to reorder, It will save me money because there will be no more impulse buys which was happening too often anyway. Best of luck to the players that still enjoy the HSN games.
