shipping and handling once again
So I bought a throw for 17.95 with 3.50 shipping and handling of 3.50 plus tax. In the end it cost around 25.00
I returned it using the easy label. To my surprise my refund was 11.12! In the end back and forth shipping and handling was 13.45. WELL WORTH IT I would say. Never again.

I started this post last month.
I have a different issue but here goes. This has happened to me twice with a certain line (JS). An item that I order was not what I got. I do not order “AS IS” but that’s what I got once and now an item is on it’s way that has been flagged an “AS IS” and since it was ordered the price went down 8 dollars!
Of the 7 items I received yesterday I will be returning all but one. I will wait for the next AS IS that is on its way and include that in the box.
AND one of the items I am returning is a sweater that has a matching camisole…NO camisole was included in my shipment.
I will be paying shipping again.. What a shame,
Reality check I guess I’m shopping too much, set sucked in by the designer name sometimes. Enough taking a break. Do I always need everything? Probably not, I hope to watch but not buy. -
I purchased a Wagner steamer the other day. Seemed like a reliable named product. Box arrived and opened to find the product not wrapped like it should be—the plastic bags lose in the box and item not arranged like should be coming from the factory. I saw that I had to return it myself—no return shipping label–which means will be pricey. I called customer service and they said that Wagner only does return labels for an exchange! I said why would I want another from this company when they apparently were trying to pawn off a “used” or at least opened item? Got nowhere with cust service even though I’ve been a loyal customer for decades. I went back and checked the video demo and the written description–nowhere does it warn buyers that a return has to be paid by buyer. Deceptive marketing for sure! BUYER BEWARE.

I’m not usually one to buy anything that I can’t return in a store if it doesn’t work out and this just solidified that for me as well. My HP touch laptop for a great deal but that’s cuz it was four gigs RAM which doesn’t handle what I need it for. Not really knowing what I wanted cost me $60. 😕

Thanks for the reply. I didn’t realize the total impact. Lesson learned. I’ll try to buy only items that have free shipping if I continue . If I decide don’t want something I will probably donate. So I will be shopping much less on QVC and HSN. I find it hard to believe they need that much money to process or ship items.

I could be wrong, but i believe the only time HSN refunds the shipping costs is when the item you received is damage, the color is incorrect, the size is either too big or too small. On something you didn’t like, you usually end up paying the shipping both ways. If you used flex pay, the refund is only on the amount spent. When an item I purchased is under $30, I usually donate rather than do a return. So much easier than a hassle later.
