Emily – instant turnoff Sat morning
Uggghhhh……phoney, phoney, phoney. Cannot watch her…constant “my friends”. Will not be shopping while she is on the air. I can handle Tai, but the two of them together Sat morning – bad call HSN. Missing Val & Guy

I don’t see nothing bad about Emily, I don’t know why everybody making a big fuss about her, are trying get her fired! and Tina!
-
No one is trying to get anyone fired – simply trying to have their sales presentations improved so we can continue to enjoy programming – otherwise, HSN is going to lose loyal viewers and the revenue that will go with it……..just because you feel there is no issue, there are plenty of others who strongly disagree
-
Well I like Emily too, I think she does a good job

I’ve been shopping with HSN since I was a teen (33 now). Emily is officially the worst host to ever grace HSN. Her facial expressions and the constant use of “my friends” is so phony it aggravates me. I don’t understand how there can be so many complaints yet no one has stopped her. Tina is a close second. She is so phony and uninteresting that I can’t get through 10 minutes of her presentations. HSN please do better with training hosts as the last few hires have been pretty bad.

I have to agree. Tina did well on TV the morning program where she jumped from product to product, but watching her try to sell jewelry or with Nina Leonard for a full hour was painful to watch – she really seems to be struggling adapting to the new studio. Again, many hosts need to be sat down & told to study how Callie or Bobby sell – truth is, they have genuine conversation, genuine connection & interact with their guests instead of making it all about themselves & trying so incredibly hard is is forced & phoney. They also need to stop looking at themselves in the monitor. Saw a comment on Suoming who started with Emily – I actually feel she is doing a much better job, as she is informative without being over the top & phoney. The newest host I actually liked was Natasha – the !east frenetic of all the newbies – would take her any day over Emily, but sadly, she didn’t make the move.

Yes I loved Natasha!! And not sure if you’ve heard but she said she hopes to be able to join them in Pennsylvania soon! She just couldn’t make the move right now!😃 I agree Tina seems like she is struggling some with all the changes. She got really emotional when she left FL too so I just think it’s all alot at once…. hoping they’ll all adjust and everyone will get put with presentations that match their personalities and comfort levels 😊 Siaoming is doing good! I like her!

I don’t see what’s so bad about Emily. Until I read all of the whining comments about her saying my friends too many times, I did not even notice it.
-
Good for you!!! Clearly, you have no issues with dramatic selling, talking over guests, etc…..fantastic. However, many others do, as exemplified by several posts on these boards & on social media – not everyone enjoys constant, phoney repetitive phrases & have the right to raise a concern, especially when HSN & even Emily herself has asked for feedback to improve.
-
I get the feeling that Emily doesn’t really want the feedback. Because there has been a ton of it from the day she started hosting all the time (4 hours a day is too much to be subjected to hard sell and disingenuous and insincere phrases).

I actually thought she did better this morning😊 BUT yes, I’ll always miss Guy and Valerie💗

We apologize for the inconvenience. Your host feedback will be passed along.
-
Appreciate your response & as a long time HSN shopper who spends a ridiculous amount on your products, I truly hope you listen to all customer feedback. Given Emily repeated “my friends” at least a half dozen times in her first 5 min back on air this morning, it doesn’t appear she received any feedback or at least listened to it…….she also carried on over the HP rep when he had all the valuable info & knowledge, yet she carried on & on when I wanted to hear from the expert. Please have your new hosts study how the true professionals like Bobbie or Callie conduct themselves – honestly, if she or your other hosts continue who do the insincere hard sell on speed, you will lose your audience and the move to PA will be for naught. Thank you.

I think, since i quit watching her, that’s her sign of hard sell, like Sarah’s is the voice goes up and she starts in with lying, etc. I noticed yesterday that Ty was saying “my friends”too. Whoever trained them or mentored probably said the old thing about the buyer is “HER/SHE” and the host needs yo connect on a personal level. That is a training tool for hosts AND Vendors, particulaly on QVC. It is SOOOO outdated, which is probably why we are so turned offby it. Just a thought.

She actually did pretty good untl the last fifteen minutes she must have said my friends fifteen times.
