#2 DO YOU REMEMBER????
TERRY LEWIS! She was the first host I watched that branched off to have her own clothing line. I remember her lamb skin leather jackets I brought a few of her items always good quality.

I used to look forward to Terry’s Friday early evening fashion shows. Great way to end the work week! I had several of her coats and they lasted a long time.

I think somewhere down the road HSN and QVC for that matter confused quality with celebrity endorsement. I don’t give a rat’s behind about the celebrity sitting there. That does not impress me in the least. I look for quality and longevity.

Yes, I remember all the above mentioned brands and still have some of the original pieces. That shows you how well made they were. Do you remember the brand Maggie Sweet (I think that was the spelling)?
-
Yes! I have a couple of Maggie Sweet tops – very well made. Also, many Slinky pieces that will never wear out (it appears)
I also liked some of Bob Mackie (QVC) and Joan Rivers (QVC)
-
You are absolutely correct. My Maggie Sweet tops and Slinky brand tops are as good today as they were the day the arrived. Another brand that stood the test of time was Carolyn Straus (I think that was the last name (CSC). Those clothes are still worn today.
