Warning! Beekman Hand Sanitizer will NOT kill corona virus! It is NOT anti-viral! If you bought this for protection from the coronavirus, cancel your order or return the product. I have asked that they stipulate that this is NOT an anti-viral hand sanitizer.

You beat me to a post!

What raised alarms for me… alcohol free and that it kills BACTERIA with no mentions of viruses (whether it be COVID, seasonal flu or common cold).

Sorry guys, pass. I will just stick with soap and water.

  NONE of the overpriced snake oil on any of the shopping channels kill viruses. They are selling like it does, they should be ashamed!

  That’s not totally true. There are some on Shophq and here with Skinn that have the recommended amount of alcohol. Beekman and Consulte have the ingredient that doesn’t kill this virus.

Yeah, Adam was pushing it as the hand sanitizer everyone is looking for that no one can find, but HSN has it! NO! Of course he didn’t say “anti’viral”, but this IS NOT the hand sanitizer people are looking for!

  @tracy517 Thanks for posting this! I was looking at a couple of wipes that I have from work. One is called Sani-Com3201…it has the same ingredient. It says kills 99.999% of germs (no reference to viruses). The other wipe is from Purell. It also mentions only germs with the main component is Ethyl Alcohol at 62% (also a lesser ingredient in the Sani-Com).
  
  My gel sanitizers (all brands) contain Ethyl Alcohol at 70% and states “anti-microbial.”
  
  So, they all probably help to sanitize hands (or surfaces) but with viruses, soap and water still looks best.

benzalkonium chloride Is the ingredient in the Beekman hand sanitizer. It does not kill the Coronavirus. I looked it up on this web site. http://www.advisory.com/daily-briefing/2020/03/12/hand-sanitizer

I will stick with the CDC. guidelines.
