No window to cancel order
I do NOT like that HSN gives you ONE day to decide to cancel! Should be a longer window to cancel. My doctor said NO to a product I ordered, I did not speak to my doctor a few days after I placed the order. Now they will not cancel and I have to pay shipping cost back! Last time I order.

I placed an order 2 hours prior to 12::00 midnight and realized the wrong item ordered.
Within 2 hour window frame, I wanted to cancel, but the computer wouldn’t let me..
Now I have to ship it back with my own shipping cost. HSN won’t give any time at all for cancellation. No fair policy !!-
If you just ‘refuse’ the package when it’s delivered, unopened, the carrier has to take it back. If you miss the carrier, just take it to the PO or UPS unopened and return it. There will not be a charge for a refused package. Get a return/refused receipt.

Hi Rustythedog. This has happened to me several times under the old management and even the new. The computers are ready to roll at midnight. There is nothing the techs can do. So, if you purchase something prior to midnight then you do not have the24 hour window needed to make changes. In reality, you do not have that 24 hour time to erase a mistake. unless you purchase as the clock strikes 12 am.

I don’t know of any vendors who give more than 24hrs to cancel.
That would mean your package would have to stay in processing longer before its sent to packaging too.
Macy’s gives you two hours!

Both HSN and QVC have a twenty four hour period to cancel an order. However, sometimes if the order is placed a few hours prior to midnight the computers will say that the item cannot be cancelled. Many have complained on that one. I think the best idea is to bring the product directly to the physician. You actually have a 30 day window to return from the day of receipt. Many times a physician cannot really make a decision based on a phone call. Try going in person with the product and then see what he/she thinks.

I don’t think it’s a 24-hour window. I think you have until midnight of the day you ordered to cancel.

QVC has NEVER given 24 hours to cancel an order. Back in the day, they used to give you four hours. Now it is about an hour at best and then it goes to “processing” which means no cancellations. Of this I am very certain. HSN gives you until midnight on the day you ordered to cancel, which is really very generous. I am not familiar with any vendor that allows cancellations up to 24 hours. Here is HSN’s explanation from their FAQ’s:
Note: In order to ensure you receive your orders as quickly as possible, we begin the shipping process for the previous day’s orders at midnight Eastern time. Orders must be cancelled before 11:59pm ET on the same day they are placed. If you wish to return an item, please follow the instructions on the label included in your package.

I have experienced the same shortened cancellation period at QVC. I made the mistake thinking they were like HSN and I had until midnight ET to cancel.
