Negative Biotin Interaction
I think it is irresponsible for both Andrew Lessman and HSN to ignore one of the most concerning negative interactons caused by the use of the supplement of biotin. That interaction is the effect it has on the results received from blood lab tests if it is taken within at least 8 hours of the test. It is actually recommended that it not be taken within 72 hours to insure accurate results. Pretending there is no consequence to taking supplements such as biotin could result in a serious condition being misdiagnosed.

It’s not his responsibility, and he can’t give out medical advice. It’s the patient’s responsibility to tell their doctor what they’re taking. It’s the responsibility of the doctor and/or the lab to tell the patient what to do and not do before a test or surgical procedure.
