Lessman Cranberry
I am having a strange issue with my most recent order of Cranberry capsules.
I used a pill sorter to get all my supplements together in closed containers. For some reason, the cranberry capsules, in the presence of the other vitamins, are turning dark red, getting bigger and then bursting. What the heck?? This has never happened with previous batches. Has anyone else experienced this? Customer service told me it was too far past the purchase date to exchange or return (about 4 months).
Thanks!

Thanks for this discussion, I came here to post for a similar issue. I take several AL supplements and have noticed that some definitely do NOT like to be stored with others. I first noticed this happening with the Brain Benefits supplement turning black and hard in the capsule when I store it in daily sorted compartments with other supplements. So, I started taking them separately. Now I have the same issue with his daily Probiotics. They stay nice and pristine in the original containers but if I store them with other supplements they get all black and gross. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

Hi ~ I’m having the same problems with Cranberry with D-Mannose capsules – when I put them with other vitamins that I sort for daily use, the cranberry with D-mannose gets dark and the powder inside the capsule gets rock hard. I also think the HSN warehouse is not storing them properly. If several of us phone ProCaps I know we’ll get action on this. I’m going to call ProCaps tomorrow – I’ll let you know what I find out.
Stay safe, healthy, and happy ~-
Did you ever find out why they were turning black or hard? Just curious before I order.
Thx 🙂 -
I’m guessing that it has something to do with storing them with “competing” supplements. When I keep them stored in their original containers they stay nice and fresh. It’s when I put them into pill sorters with other supplements that they “turn” on me.

May I suggest others contact ProCap labs as well. I am nit having issue, but just using up an older batch.

wanted to add. Maybe HSN isn’t storing them properly and they get warm sitting on the shelves of their warehouse? just a thought.
Apparentely the edit button doesn’t let you do just that, ergo the added post.

I put mine in with my other supplements and don’t have any problem with them. I called ProCap Labs and talked to them about the comments I read at HSN. She told me the cap used for Cranberry Benefits is vegan and not gelatin like the others. Could be HSN isn’t storing them properly and they get warm on the shelves in their warehouse? Just a thought.
Hope this helps. -
If anyone is taking a cranberry product for recurrent UTI’s, make sure it is a cranberry PAC 36% product not something like AL product. Only cranberry PACs 36% are research based to help kill the E. coli bacteria in the bladder and help stop the bacteria laden microbiome from growing. Typical cranberry is a waste of time for UTI’s. Cranberry PACs 36% are very expensive unfortunately but many women swear by them.

I have the cranberry capsules and as long as I keep them in the jar, they stay separate. If I put them in a pill container with any other supplement, they seem to slightly melt and ooze onto everything else. It’s a mess so I now keep them in their original container. Only problem is I often forget to take them because they’re kept in a dark closet.

I reached out to ProCaps and they are aware of it. They said they’d have to contact HSN to confirm my order but would be sending me a replacement. Great customer service.

Did you contact Pro-cap Labratories ? I would give that a try.

Hi. I’m having the same problem with my recent purchase which was last month, July.

Yes, I had a similar experience. Mine were still in the jar. but the expiration date was several months prior to my call. They told me the problem had been addressed and it wouldn’t happen again. Apparently it did happen again and I’m sorry it happened to you.. I’ve stopped purchasing these capsules and now purchase cranberry juice and put some in my water each day. They are far too expensive to throw out. I hope someone told Andrew about this.
