Is Sole sunscreen safe for a hairless cat
We have a 6 mth old Sphynx kitten. Is Sole safe to apply on him?

Thanks everyone. I love my sphynx kitten, Bruce, very much. He is unbelievably loving, inquisitive, and special. I will check with the vet. I do have clothes to cover his back and belly, but his head, tail, and legs are still exposed. No more than 15 minutes a day outside in the sun, that’s for sure. Thanks again.

PLEASE PLEASE do not put ANYTHING on your cat NOT prescribed by your pet’s physician.
Allergic reactions are common for cats….I beg you – get the right product from your vet, for the comfort of your beloved pet – do right by them and ask their doctor.

I definitely would never use anything on a pet before checking with vet AND pharmacist! I think Pookie’s post is accurate but I would add one thing to that. Many “cat safe” products take into consideration the general cat population and there are always exceptions. I would be extra careful due to the breed of your cat. My parents were heartbroken when their beautiful Persian died suddenly from an allergic reaction to a powder supposedly “cat safe” and used and trusted by groomers. That day the groomer had used a different powder than she had used before. Cats are very sensitive to products. Keep your cat out of the sun and maybe buy a little tee shirt for her to wear until you can see your vet. I am not trying to be an alarmist but I’m sure you would rather err on the side of caution and have many, many years to spend with your adorable and lovable kitten! Thank you for being responsible to ask the question and definitely see your vet. 😀

luv2shop I would definitely ask the veterinarian what you can apply.. You really need to be careful with medication that may be good for a human may not necessarily be something you can use on a pet.
