What is with the clothing at HSN?
I use to buy all my clothes on HSN when there were lines like Terry Lewis, Maggie Sweet, Slinky and others. Now I buy very little. The clothes look like something out of the 50’s to 80’s. They are NOT stylish and they cost a lot. Even Diane Gilman and Iman, my former go to lines, are just awful. I lived in those previous eras. I have no desire to “flash back” thank you. I want to look good, not foolish. I may finally be done.

I want to thank HSN for the fashion designers they have.
I’ve learned that history repeats itself, yes even fashion. I’m up in age and I believe in looking good. And the designers like Diane Gilman and Iman and the others are very good for me.
I get compliments all the time from people even my grown children.
My girls told me yrs. ago don’t go to the junior dept, it not for me. Well, they are right. I had to find my style and I did thru HSN.
So I want to say to you all thank you all for having all the wonderful designers you have. And the others to keep me healthy, some taught me how to put on makeup and keep my skin beautiful, thank you.
My main store is HSN. You can look at my record to see that.
And the best part is people saying to me, I don’t look my age.
Keep it up HSN. -
Fashion repeats itself. I remember many of the current HSN dress styles from my days selling junior fashions in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. I like the more feminine look that HSN is doing this year. I don’t like all the polyester so I rarely order from here any more. I read something interesting in the “news feed” on my phone. The article said that “designers” actually buy from China and they have certain styles they can pick from. So one year, everything is “cold shoulder” which I personally hate but others love. We notice everything is cold shoulder that year or two years. This article said that is because the Chinese manufacturers actually set up what they already are manufacturing and the “designers” get to pick from the style list. I’ve notice both on HSN and QVC that the styles are all the same from “designer” to “designer”. For example, these lovely feminine dresses with the twist tie fronts or the gathering or the pockets. I’ve been noticing it is all the same basic styles, even in the stores, and figured it was the economy and inflation driving sales to be less so the sellers just go with what they know will sell. But now I think this article may be correct because everything seems to be one similar version of the last designer. The cheap polyester or thinner fabrics, even the cotton, are the norm. I don’t like cheap, thin fabric as it doesn’t look good on the body. Especially with DG, her models are squeezed into a size too small and look awful, you can see their lumps and bumps and this is called stylish on air. The busts and shoulders are too small also on the model. And they cover it all up with the third layer they are also selling. Did they used to do that? I think I remember when DG pants or jeans were shown from the back with the shirt lifted up slightly by the model or tucked in. Now the models have on jackets, tops, and are shown from the front only. When I am not shown the back side, I will not purchase. I did just purchase a sweater and a cotton top on clearance and they are okay. Neither one high quality. Both smelled like the chemicals that all HSN clothing comes smelling like. I think clothing sales are a victim of this economy.
