What Happened to Fashion At HSN?
What has happened to HSN clothing? What was once very fashionable, good quality merchandise has now been replaced with overpriced dowdy dresses, matronly patterns and flowers, and many of the fabrics are cheap, replacing silk and crepe with polyester and spandex. Whatever happened to Terry Lewis, or the Halston designer Randolph Duke. Gone are the days when I would spend thousands of dollars on clothing from HSN designers. There used to be a big difference between HSN and QVC fashion… now it seems since they are owned by same company is hard to tell the difference. There is little style…I may have gotten older but my fashion sense has not diminished.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I no longer buy from HSN. There is no need to, when the prices and quality are horrible. There are so many options to choose from now adays that this company has become irrelevant. Sometimes I tune in just for the fun of it, but then I see how they have spiraled downward. Rather sad, however changes happen, and you just must move on.

It seems the past few days have made me agree with you. These designers seem to be totally unaware of who most of us are and why we sometimes cringe at their ‘designs’.

I don’t buy much fashion either. It seems the designers use the same fabric. All are stretchy and very thin. Most are either fancy tee shirts or pull up pants.

I agree . Iman last TS should be sold at the Goodwill . I wish HSN would go back to the good old days . I mostly order Household Items . My last orders are not up to Par . I saved thousands since the Merger .

I like their items but the prices are high and getting to be expensive like QVC. I would have purchased the Today’s Special if a tank was included. I wish these channels would just price things fairly!!

bythesea: I have asked the same questions over and over again. All the great fashions are gone and the products are inferior, expensive and matronly. Even Marla Wynne! Her clothes are too expensive for the quality which to me was the best for a long time. I’ve ordered a couple of items and returned them the same day. I will not spend that money on trash. I now found lots of different boutiques and the service and prices are better. I wish for the old QVC and HSN when I couldn’t wait when Basso, Louie D’Olio, Markie, Randolf ?, Simonton, Terry Lewis\ premiered their line. Gratefully I still have so many of those designers’ items because they were timeless, well made and still look great! The so called designers, to me anyway, keep repeating the same thing: jeans, jean jackets, ugly dresses. Even Guiliana has gone down in fashion choices. Very sad to me and all the other loyal shoppers of these two networks. But it’s their loss.

Agree it’s bad, quit buying long, ago!Nothing stylish same stuff over and over.I like fitted clothes not stuff that makes me look 10 times my size!

Agree 100%. Nice that some others remember Terry Lewis. Ony recently did I give away the last of her items – they were classics and held up beautifully. I never cared for all of the designers at HSN but then I wouldn’t expect to. Back in the day they had variety, unlike now.

I only bought one blouse this season..because I was appalled at most of all the clothing items presented. And what is with every “puffed??? Ridiculous ..and some of the patterns are all over the place. The so called designer..need to get back to the workshop. I love HSN..but not the Clothes..and the same for QVC.
