Velvet pull on pants item #727-983
I am usually 1 16W 0r 18 Tall. I ordered 4 pair & the reviews are confusing. There is no mention of the rise in the garment chart. Just waist & hip. If anyone purchased these in tall can you tell me how the rise works? I think HSN should include the rise in all pants. I buy tall for the rise, not so much the length. Thank you!!

Were these Diane Gilman brand? I find her rise is small on me and cuts into the derriere on me. Others say it fits great.
Or was it (Marla) Wynne Layers or her other labels? I find those pants fit me okay sometimes.
I am not tall, I am only 5″4″ but my body is cut with a long rise and I find the rise doesn’t fit in a lot of brands of pants. It is a way of cutting costs, cutting corners on amount of material in the seat of the pants. A little trick on HSN and QVC lately is that if the models are wearing garments that cover up the waist and back side, and the fit is tight on the thighs or wrinkled across the thighs and knees, it likely is cut funky. Or they have the model in a size or two too small. I am noticing how the pants are now covered up by the model’s clothing and the model rarely shows you the full waist and back side like they used to a few years ago. Another trick online is that the “model” shown online as wearing the garment is not a real human, seriously it is a computer algorithm if you look closely enough. And those fit perfectly but you get it home and it looks way different.

Yes, they were the DG2 velvet pull-on pants. One pair was huge & the others fit in the waist & Hip but knees were so tight they looked horrible! They were returns because they all had a new sticker over the older one. I am ticked. I guess they hope you will just keep them. I sent them back & notified CS that as far as I’m concerned they are defective. I was told I would not be charged a return fee. I used to love DG2 but the cut seems different in the last few years.
