Vanessa Williams clothing line – OMG GASP.
I just took a look at the items that are on the website for her debut this month. ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW??? $80 for a TOP? I don’t think so. I MIGHT, on a day when I REALLY wanted something particular, buy an $80 TOP from a REAL designer (Marc Bouver, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, and even Isaac Mizrahi) but not from an actress/singer who happens to have a clothing line. Not going to happen and it’s an insult to my intelligence and as a very long time (1983) HSN shopper. I loved the line at Evine, and it was REASONABLY priced. This is freaking RIDICULOUS. The $80 top was one of the less expensive items.

Please let me know where I can find a Stella McCartney top for $80….PLEASE!

And it was unfortunate for her that her line debuted after a few days of Heidi’s incredible designs. Even if I loved something from Vanessa’s line I would not have purchased it. I was budgeted and shopped out.

I’m with you kittengirl. I like the simplicity of the line. I especially like the dolman sleeve tops. I have heavy upper arms, so it is difficult for me to find comfortable tops with sleeves. I also like that her tops are not too wide on the bottom. If the quality is as nice as the host says, I think the prices are fair. I will be watching the reviews for comments on sizing & quality.

It was awful on Evine. Between Vanessa Williams, and Nina Leonard, I have no idea who HSN’s demographic is now. But I do know it’s not me.

Guess I’m in the minority but I really liked the wrap dress and thought the price was fair. I liked that it wasn’t a clingy knit and I thought it looked good on everybody. I’m going to wait for the reviews.

Very ugly and way over priced. I was shocked when I heard that some things were sold out. I kept wondering who would buy this stuff.
-
Her clothing line is blah and way overpriced!
-
You’re right I was like, yikes…these prices seem to be much higher than when she was on Evine and besides I’m not interested in that 1985 look. Nothing special to warrant those prices.
-
I didn’t know she was going to be on HSN and saw an article on the Daily Mail the other day about her “affordable” line that was debuting on HSN. I took a look and did not find anything affordable.

Her clothes are nothing special. I would not purchase anything.
-
Plain and simply ridiculous!
-
I don’t get it either. You are right. The prices were way more reasonable on Evine.
