Rhonda Shear: I cannot "shop my top," please use another term.
I truly wish Rhonda and the hosts would STOP using the phrase “shop your top” because it does NOT apply to everyone. I’m a 1x in most of my clothing and a pear shape. My regular bra size is 38C so the 1x bras are ALWAYS too large on me. To meet the sizing requirements for the TS bra today (the “Underwire Bandeau”) I ordered a “L” because it’s listed as bra size 38-40 and I wear “XL” in the Ahh Bras. So, as I started, I wish they would come up with another catch phrase, because the current one doesn’t apply to everyone.

I am so glad you posted this. I tried two bras based on buy your top size. I nearly crushed my ribs they were so tight. i ended up donating them. I’ve bought her panties and some sweaters, and love them. She needs to quit believing her own press regarding her bras.

A couple of years ago I bought a half dozen of her bras and panties. The support in the bras is nonexistent. Do her newer bras have any support? I look terrible in my clothes wearing her bras. They are comfortable, but I think they are better for lounging around the house.

The only ahh-bras that I’ve found provide any support are the double layer bras, which are newer. Her original ahh-bras are single layer and provide no support. Even with the newer double layer, they still look like a sports bra under your clothes, they do not provide any definition. I have many of them but mainly wear them to sleep in or use the ones with lace as a cami under a tank or button down shirt.
Just remember to NOT buy based on your shirt size, look closely at your measurements on the chart and compare to your real bra size.

I don’t find Rhonda Shear items to be in line with your top or dress size at all. In fact, all her bras are sized differently. If I buy a new style, there is usually an exchange process. Great designs but the sizing is a bit of a nightmare.

Thank you for posting this. Glad I’m not the only one who can’t stand this phrase. I’m petite and I wear a medium or large in women’s teens tops, a large/x-large in boys tops, an extra small in women’s tops and an x-small in ON tops. I’m grateful at my age (60) my body is so versatile. I’m also very confused by the phrase, “shop your top”. According to Rhonda Shear which top size should I shop?
-
Good point. I’ve never purchased her bras. I have purchased many of her pinup panties though. I would only wear her bras around the house because they seem to be more of a “soft” lift. When I’m out and about I prefer a more “at attention ” lift LOL.

I don’t even know what ‘shop your top’ means. I’m English. Is that an American term? I’ve never heard it.
-
This isn’t even an American term, it’s a Rhonda Shear term. She coined it but it doesn’t work.
-
Purchase the bra in the size you wear in tops.

I so agree. I’m a small/medium in HSN tops and I have to wear either a L or XL in the AHH bras.
