Help please with DG jeans classic vs virtual????
Can someone please tell me if u have ordered classic and virtual stretch, what the difference is? Only purchased classic & even those run inconsistent in size. Attempting to not spend so much on returns. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I prefer new classic over virtual stretch. My older virtual stretch fit beautifully and I used to be able to go on size down. Lately, they seem to run smaller and even when I size up one size and virtual stretch there just doesn’t seem to be the same amount of stretch. The new classic feel so comfortable they’re so soft and sometimes I think I could’ve sized down one in new classic. Now I haven’t gained weight because my older virtual stretch stuff it just as well as they always dead even when I sized down.

I would really love some help with this myself!!! I just spent $50 a pair on virtual when the classic is only $25!! I know I’ve had both but unsure what the real difference is? I’ve looked at the fabric content and they’re both super close to the same thing.. So the virtuals arrived, they’re perfect, of course..but do I return for the exact same jean at half the cost??? I started wearing her at a size 14, I’m now a size 2 so own them in literally every size and color and really need to start trying to sell what I do have, and would REALLY love to stop losing weight so I can stop having to purchase new jeans!!! I tried altering, but it’s just never the same, unless you pay for a top dollar seamstress and for that I can just get the new jean!!! Weight loss is due to severe grief over the loss of my husband May 1, 2020, so not super happy about it. It just keeps falling off.

I am so sorry for your loss. I began this post over 3 yrs ago!! Since then I did try the virtual. Ordered several sizes and styles. In classic I wore 16, but one of the virtual fit best in 14, however the other 2 in 14 were too tight?? Many yrs ago her styles were pretty and studs were set. Sizes more consistent. Now glued on & come off & prices high. So, I just gave up. Wear the ones that fit 🙂 since I kept them all & vary from 12, 14,16 depending on how much I control my eating. lol. I just gave up purchasing hers as it was too aggravating & the cost of returning is absurd. I now get everyday jeans time & tru WM brand, free returns, and nice stretch & cost $18!! Only problem they sell out quickly online. Perhaps keep the jeans you have, store them, until your grief isnt as deep and u get back to your normal weight.

Hi, I’m so frustrated with sizing and Virtual stretch Everyone, including hosts, say to order your regular size with classic stretch; I have to go down one size for classic stretch from my normal ‘real world’ size. However, I cannot get the correct fit in her VS star jeans (ITEM 657-214). I’d ordered a size 2 P ivory (only because no regular or tall – I could not get them over my hips. I tried a 4P – still could barely get them on. Then I also ordered the red in size 2 regular – couldn’t get them on either. I then went to size 4 R – they fit but they do not sit at my natural waist or any other waist! I’ve just ordered them in 4T, so here is hoping. (I am not a tall fit, but I hope with additional length from inseam to waist, it will make a difference.
Honestly, I don’t understand why everyone raves about virtual stretch. These star jeans were so uncomfortable and didn’t seem to have as much stretch as classic. So, I will see in about a week when I get them in tall.

So, I posted previously about my frustration with my star-embroidered virtual stretch jeans – I finally got the right size with pair #5!!!. The tall in my size arrived and they are perfect. I’ve come to realize that even though I am not tall (5′ 4 1/4″) I am very high-waisted the longer back-rise seems to work for me. So, now I am happy, but honestly I don’t see much difference in classic and stretch. Even DG said (or maybe a host said) that the classic has improved so much that it is almost like virtual.

I have quite a few of both fabrications. When purchasing classic it’s best to go with whatever your true size is. When purchasing virtual stretch you can go down a size. So, I’m a 14 and I always get a 14 in classic and have been able to go down to a 12 in virtual. Not to confuse you but I accidentally bought a 14 in virtual once and they actually fit fine as well. I think it’s because of the type of stretch in virtual, that it conforms to the body nicely. I hope that helps. Good luck!
