Has Colleen Lopez left HSN?
Her picture is gone from the Host Page…what is going on?

I have bought several of Colleen’s pieces. She is really good with her sales pitch.
Unfortunately, I have had quality issues with all of her products.

Colleen Lopez just posted (2hrs ago) on her Facebook page that she will be back on air April 12th & 13th. Presenting Absolute jewelry on Designer gallery. She will be back April 27th presenting her clothing line. She also said she would be back monthly presenting her clothing line. My guess is the reason she is off the host list is because she is no longer presenting other venders line but only her own. She will be curating her own clothing and jewelry line for HSN . I’m glad she’s not leaving ( my husband not so much haha). I love Colleen.

Bunnydoodle – If that is so, it seems that she is morphing into some kind of vendor/host rather than simply a “Host” at this point . Have never seen this kind of hybrid model for hosting at HSN before. My guess is that Colleen – seeing the direction that HSN is going – probably wanted to exit completely, and that there was some heavy duty negotiation by HSN to keep their top producer, so this is the solution they came up with, apparently with both parties satisfied with the arrangement

“Please don’t be disappointed – HSN has been AMAZINGLY supportive of me and my request to have a lighter schedule,” Lopez posted. “This is the right choice for me at the right time. I’ve been an HSN Host for 28 years and I’m very grateful and lucky to be able to say I still love my job. But, I’m excited to not have to work every weekend and every Thursday night starting in March.”

YES , just as I said a few days ago Colleen has cut back on her schedule by her own choice .
She is the best on HSN or QVC , I think they will work with her request . I do not understand why some doubt it is her choice.
I never buy on anything from the pushy host , i never watch
their presentations….. not even going to bother to name names (: -
And then this.

Hmmm……happydragon, I hope you are right. Seeing no picture on the host page still has me wondering. Since I am not a member of Facebook, I did not see the post, but did see something from April 4th. I hope you are right…….but………

Even if I’m not particularly interested in a product I end up watching the whole presentation just because Colleen is so good at her job! None can compare.

Her Facebook page was last updated on April 4th and she stated she was on vacation and will be on air soon. That page is now gone. However she does have a website if anyone is interested. It’s colleenlopez.com. Well, there is a website, unless someone takes it down.

I think they got rid of her because she had a good salary. Their mistake because Colleen is their best host. I will not be spending money here anymore which will be good for my budget. Always someone at the top making dumb decisions who is totally out of touch with reality.

All Retail Environments need a good sales staff. Without them, they would cease to do business. I do know that Colleen was and is their best sales person and spokesman. Without her expertise, I have no idea what would become of HSN. I am hoping the decision was hers whatever that may be.

Someone had posted on QVC that Qurate restructured it’s leadership. They were hired “to strengthen brand differentiation between QVC and HSN by giving each brand team direct control over its own merchandising, planning and programming, brand marketing, broadcast, and ecommerce organizations,” according to Business Insider, March 2, 2002. Lucky us to have Debbie D as the host of The List. I can’t take her for more than 2 minutes with her pushy sales tactics. Collen was a class act and very professional she could sell me anything. Well the good thing is, I won’t be shopping much here and will save some money.

Colleen has been on HSN for 28 years . She has her own line here . I am rather sure she is not entirely gone .
Lopez said she will still be around.
Her statement
“This is simply my choice to change my schedule!” “I love my job and I’m not leaving HSN!!
Of course she may change her mind.

Or, an executive made that decision for her. I really think the people involved should think twice. Even if the host is making $$, the decision to release that person is something to think about. Not only has Colleen glorified our screen for so many years, she definitely brought many new faces to HSN and was able to sell items when no one else could. I realize that HSN has been losing customers and probably cannot afford to keep Colleen, but maybe they should take a second look. They need to weigh that decision very carefully. I wonder how many customers will leave before they realize there was a mistake. Just my thought.

Maybe someone else made the decision. Maybe Colleen’s contract was up for renewal. Things change when there’s new management.
I’ve seen big star hosts come and go.
