Gone are the Days
Do you remember when HSN used to feature clothing that collaborated with a theme from upcoming Movies. All Designers like Heidi Daus ,Victoria Wieck and Anthony used to design products for the featured Movie collaborations. HSN usedto feature Joan Boyce, Iris Appel and a host of others that were fantastic and unique. La Joie , Avec Les Filles and Trish McEnvoy to name a few. This was Pre-Qurate takeover. 4 flex pay was the NORM, this switch to 2 and 3 flex pay is crazy. HSN had better shoe lines featured.Steve Madden created fantastic shoes only available on HSN.Perlier and Korres used to offer beautiful sets for the Holidays. Now it’s just generic merchandise. I like Christie Brinkley, Vivica Fox and Jacqueline Smith when they were on Shop NBC not so great as the end all for HSN.Overall, HSN used to carry better brands and more unique products. They got rid of Iman which is a shame. I still have handbags from Joy/Iman collab years ago. I started with HSN from Day 1 so I remember when they were head to head with QVC. Those days are long gone.Sad as I watch the slow and steady decline of a great shopping platform.

I’m sure those film promotions were expensive to produce. Now, companies do collaborations, and there’s often no money involved as much as publicity. Beekman has worked with Nestle in the past, and this year is Libby’s Pumpkin Pie (AND I WISH THESE PRODUCTS WOULD COME TO HSN AND NOT ONLY QVC).
The movie industry is suffering anyway. They can’t seem to come up with original ideas.-
Agree! I know Beekman did Wicked this past year too, didn’t they? I want that Libby’s pumpkin set so much😍 It would be fun if they did more like that, in the past that sounded really cool, Sandi😊

Presumably, since the last public meeting on Q2 updates were released, go check the Q forums for specifics, they likely should not be spending additional money for licensing with the likes of Disney (or similar movie releases). It is very costly to do that I understand. Collaborations with a movie release are also a very specific niche, that includes people’s taste related to the actors, characters, messaging or to the storyline and actually can reduce the amount of purchases.
The parent company has publicly stated their next move is pushing toward streaming and TikTok sales, and that is where they are clearly spending their money. Hiring “influencers” for style (clothing and home) shows on HSNQVC+ costs money, sorry but I am not watching that. Who are these people anyway, lol.

It’s a shame “Devil Wears Prada 2 is in works. It would of been perfect to have HSN offerings on that theme.

Devil Wears Prada 2? Why? Besides, HSN doesn’t sell Prada.

I would probably want to buy up all of that!! LOVE Devil Wears Prada🤩

I totally agree. HSN sees the handwriting. They are not putting much money into improving HSN-PA. To the poster who thinks by not complaining HSN can be saved, she needs to buy, buy, buy!!
Actually, I bet the move to PA is part of the process to close HSN. Those of us who have shopped for years can see the steady decline. So very sad!!
