Giuliana's G-sculpt Jeans
Anyone trying these? I have the dark skinny in my cart. Glad to see some alternate jean options. Hoping I like them.
-
I will not find out how they fit since they’re showing them on tv and NONE of the 3 items I want are available. Including the duster the hsn host is wearing. Uhg very frustrating.
Oh well, maybe next time.

I ordered two (midwash and black). two sizes up from what I wear (three up from DG2 jeans). If they don’t fit, I will be returning. I trust G’s aesthetic so I’m willing to go there. If it’s only one size up, I’ll know what when I get them.

Sharon818, let us know how they fit. I would buy at the higher price as long as they work.

After listening to the last presentation I cancelled my orders for these jeans. I was totally confused about whether to order my regular size, which I did originally, or size up.
-
Yes, I understand. Callie would say if you are between sizes, go up and then Giuliana would say, hmmm I’m not sure about that. It was definitely confusing. But knowing how her jeans fit, AND If you are curvy I would suggest going up. But like Kittengirl said, I’ll wait for the rest of the reviews to come in. The current reviews are from people who received the jeans for free. I think we can be a little jaded when items are free.

Looks like at least 100 new reviews in from people who actually purchased the TS. As a few of us feared, sizing seems to be an issue.

@skingirl,
Oh girl, Please get me to the nearest shoppers anonymous meeting ASAP! I GAVE IN at the last moment and bought the skinnies! I don’t know if I am more dissappointed in myself for giving in to the hype or if I am more dissappointed in the jeans! So, here is my take on the jeans; just DO NOT DO IT! Walk away. Save your time and money. I wish I had held firm.
Jeans are a stiff, thick material – something like the way jeans used to be and that is both a pro and a con. The waistband is ill fitting and runs small. I sized up one and waistband was tight, and the bottom part of waist that was supposed to hold you in gave me a (for lack of better description) somewhat square and odd looking tummy! The legs were big on me and fit like a regular straight-leg jean even though they were supposed to be skinnies. As far as sculpting my backside… ROFLOL!!!!! What can I say? The part that is supposed to lift and sculpt was empty and sagged! I am laughing as I write this! Unbelievably horrible so it’s a good thing I have a good sense of humor or I would have been crying! LOL!
Never again! Now I have learned that no matter the hype on G’s jeans, it is still just hype! I did listen to you and decided not to give the newer joggers a chance. If I ever buy joggers from her line again, I will make sure they are of a substantial material (I have some from her that are crepe) or with a trouser type waistband like I got from her about 2-3 years ago.
Even the top I bought didn’t work due to huge armholes even though it fit perfectly everywhere else. I loved the sweater duster and I will stick with her sweaters only from now on. Lesson learned but still laughing. -
@Kiitengirl, oh no!!! Oh well, at least you tried them. You are so descriptive in your writing I swear I was getting a visual. G’ by G’s jeans weren’t always so problematic with sizing but I did notice a shift with her line. Well, file that experience under, “note to self.” A failed experience in jeans can leave we women traumatized for sure. I heard Colleen Lopez say she was coming out with a jean line in February. Fingers crossed.

@Skingirl,
LOL! That’s exactly what I do! I get caught up in the presentations and always think this new product will be the miracle I’m waiting for! Good idea; if your in doubt, don’t! If the reviews tell me that they fit in the waistline and give them back their old bodies from 10 years ago, then I will jump on board! Lol! I’m going to read the reviews for the joggers but usually joggers are very flattering on me because they tend not to flatten my behind. Jeans are the hardest to fit for me for that reason, plus, the waist never fits.
I’m going to hold off on the blouse for now and read reviews. I found some new pretty blouses from Vince Camuto (one is a blue floral and the other is leopard). I just bought a blouse from him and I always do well with his blouses as long as I size up. Anyway, I”m definitely getting the duster sweater in rust and the leopard chiffon duster! They are great for giving you height (I’m 5’5″) and for hiding all those ill fitted jeans! Lol! 😀edit: Sorry, meant to post this under your last post so it made sense and was in order.

Kittengirl, I truly think you and I are sisters from another Mr.! Have a good day and happy shopping!

Hi Skingirl! How are you today? I’m up watching G’s show and then Callie’s. I am going to pass and read all the reviews later. There were too many mixed reviews about the waistline and material. I really hope you like them too! Let us know and write a review or come back to this thread and tell us how they worked, ok?
I am going to get the new duster sweater in the rust color and the long chiffon duster in leopard. Debating on the new hammered satin blouse in either dusty apricot or gunmetal. I also like the houndstooth jacket in gold/navy but not sure I will get a lot of wear out of that so I’m still thinking about it. Are you getting anything else besides the jeans? I may also get the luxe knit joggers – do you have them? Happy shopping! 😀-
Hi kittengirl! I swear you and I often share the same mind. Right after I posted that I had put a pair of the skinny’s in my cart I noticed that it was a customer pick and decided to read the reviews. I too noticed that most of the negative comments were about sizing/waist fit. I will pass as well especially because I have recently purchased a pair of her girlfriend Jean’s and found them a tad tight. Also, I found that although her jeans lift the derriere, they also have a strange way of flattening the behind which is odd. As I continued to watch the models I noticed the same sort of fit. Oh, and I never purchased her joggers because I noticed they seem snug and often times too short on the models for my taste. I tend to get caught up in these presentations and put aside what I already know about these brands–hoping that the new version of whatever they’re selling will somehow be different. Luckily, I snapped out of it before purchasing.
