Does HSN ever sell returned clothes as New?
HSN says it only sells return clothes “AS IS” & it has to be in good condition even if it was worn or washed.
I wonder though if something comes back with the tags on it if they don’t ship it out to some unsuspecting customer as new.

Well — I have gotten clothing that is obviously washed because it smells of strongly perfumed detergent. Not often but twice now in a couple of years. I am allergic to this perfumed detergent stuff and so have to send it back. I do mark the item as defective and washed.

I am not sure about HSN but perhaps, as QVC does, repackage articles with tags. I have noticed that sometimes when I have received on “waitlist” from QVC , that the item is repackaged, which tells me it could have been a return from someone else. I do think any return items are repackaged and resent if tags are remaining.

Define “new.” It’s never been worn and it has tags. How is someone “unsuspecting”?
Most stores sort returns into items that can be resold. I think the only exception is beauty, which must be tossed, as far as I know.-
I’m not sure if it was HSN or QVC but I returned a blouse that definitely had body Oder smell on it not tags. I never buy as is for this reason but still received this gross top. That has to stop. False advertising. False listing.

New is from the warehouse not anything that has been shipped out and returned. As far as HSN goes they told me they do not sell anything that is returned unless it states “as is” once it is returned even with tags on it is not resold as new at all.
It is just hard for me to believe that if something comes back with tags on and show signs of never being worn that they would not resell it as new, but they told me they don’t. It can only be sold “as is” I know I have never returned anything that was worn not even once it is usually repackaged the same day and goes back the next day.
